This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
Amelia Spelled has had a bad week. Her boyfriend dumps her when she inadvertently gives him food poisoning; her workplace, a telecommunications center, fires all their staff as they are outsourcing offshore, and she is evicted due to smoke damage resulting from her failed attempts at baking. Amelia thinks her luck has changed when she inherits her estranged aunt’s store, two mysterious cats, and beautiful Victorian house.
Yet has Amelia jumped out of the frying pan into the fire? To Amelia's dismay, the store is a cake store, and she discovers that her aunt was a witch. To add to the mix, the house has secrets of its own.
When a man is murdered in the cake store, will Amelia be able to cook up a way to solve the crime? Or will her spells prove as bad as her baking?
This is the first book I have read of Morgana Best and I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the story and hated to put it down even for a second. Definately a must read if you like or love like me a witch cozy mystery.
When Amelia loses her boyfriend due to her accidentally posioning him from her cooking, loses her job and loses her apartment from all the smoke damage she is at a loss as what to do. The next morning her luck changes as she finds out she has inherited a Victorian house along with a business from an aunt she doesn’t remember.
The house comes with 2 cats and has a mind of its own and the business is a cake and cupcake business. Thankfully the bakery has a wonderful baker. She also inherits her aunts friends. When they tell her she’s a witch, she can’t believe it. When a man is murdered in the bakery she learns all about magic as they work to solve the case before it ruins her business.
A murder mystery. Four friends play detective to solve a death in a bakery. A great story that touches on mystery, witch craft, and very special house. A great quick reading story. Didn't want to stop reading till the book was finished even if it took all night.
The ease in which I was able to slip right into reading this book was delightful. This book grabbed me as soon as I saw it & never wanted it to end. An excellent writing from page one until the end. The characters come to life and I felt as though I knew the place it was happening. I highly recommend this book to all.
