Nice Christmas Anthology
First off, what’s much better than reading an anthology including a favorite author than to catch up with book friends in a great book series AND discovering authors who you enjoy and want to read more from?
**Five stars for One Last Gift**
Jack and Casey fell in love with each other as teenagers and they planned a life together until tragedy struck. It's been ten years since Jack left Oak Grove for Boston and he hasn't been back since. One phone call changes everything. My favorite line in the book was from Jack's partner Dan, two days before Christmas while Jack is back in his office contemplating his life. "The life outside those windows is the one that matters."
I've loved every book in Nancy Stopper's Oak Grove series and it was fun to reconnect with some of the earlier characters who have become like old friends.
I received an ARC of this book from Nancy Stopper for an honest review but am loving these stories so much I purchased my own copy.
**HAT TRICK by Maria Luis**
I love finding a great author I have never read before and I'm a sucker for hockey romances. Hat Trick didn't disappoint!
Gwen and Hunt met in college. There was always chemistry between them but Hunt was three years younger and a college athlete and Gwen was an ice princess dating a teammate of Hunt's and witness to her worst humiliation. Gwen is in PR and he is an NHL star with shared friends. While Hunt has chased her for years they have never dated. Hunt asks, she declines. It's her turn to woo him.
I’m working my way through the rest of the book. Can’t wait to finish more stories
Love Holiday Romances
