I don’t believe in destiny.
Or in soul mates.
But I believe in Hawke.
My life has never been whole since my parents left forever. I have my brother, someone I can barely tolerate most of the time, and I have my best friend, Marie.
And I have myself.
But when Hawke walks into my life, there’s an immediate connection. Our eyes lock and an unspoken conversation is exchanged. For the first time in my life, I actually feel something.
But he doesn’t.
He keeps me at arm’s length and pretends there’s nothing between us when there clearly is. I’m not the kind of girl to wait around for any guy, so I don’t.
But that doesn’t mean he isn’t in the back of my mind.
Our paths cross again in a way neither one of us expect and it changes everything. Was it destiny that made it happen? Was it fate?
Or was it something else?

Review: Timeless Series 1: Monday
Monday by E.L. Todd is the first book in her new series Timeless. This book was so far from what I was expecting in the best way possible. I expected a full-length, sappy, stand-alone romance (love those) and I got a witty, banter-filled, emotional journey throught the beginnings of the forever-love that Frankie and Hawke have for each other.
From flirty banter, to a first date, to crickets...Frankie wonders what happened with her and Hawke on their date. It was fun, they kissed, it was amazing, there was most definitely chemistry AND he was the first guy shes ever really needed and wanted to go on a second date with. So why'd he blow her off?
Hawke misreads Frankie's intentions and when he realizes she is not out for a night of fun between the sheets, at least not only, that she is looking for long-term eventually, he backs off. BUT, he just can't stay away.
Thus begins their budding friendship. As friends they are cute and caring and wonderful together.
But of-course their is angst and drama. They both have darkness in their pasts and issues to deal with. What we the reader struggle with is watching when they try to go it alone, and then of course, the cliffhanger. We always struggle with a cliffhanger. Even though I do love to hate them.
Great news, however, books two and three are already available and appear to wrap up Hawke and Frankie's story arc.
Omg how does this just end like this!?!?! I am beyond...I don't even know the word best to describe what I'm feeling. I've already purchased Tuesday so I know I can continue.. But still.. Omg. That is all.
