A shapeshifter romance unlike anything you've read before, Moondance is a tale that goes beyond steamy eroticism, with deep and complex characters and a storyline that keeps you guessing.
For years, Melissa Hewitt has dreamed of being hunted by a panther, a huge, black creature that pursues her relentlessly. But panthers do not exist in real life – not in Canada, anyway. And it is in the Canadian Rockies that Melissa escapes the stresses of her work – a job that come with a handsome but unfriendly boss who exudes both danger and allure. There is something about Leander Garrett, however, that draws Melissa, making him almost impossible to ignore; that, and the fact that once they had been friends.
As winter turns into spring, Leander’s chilly demeanor begins to thaw, but danger prowls through the mountains, and Lee has a secret that lurks beneath his elegant clothes and rippling physique. Something that compels him to reject what he desires the most.
Can he learn to see the good in himself and finally allow his heart to love, and be loved in return?
A captivating paranormal romance, Moondance will keep you enthralled to the very last page.
Please note: There is a brief scene of sexual intimacy between a shapeshifter in his animal form and another character.
When I started reading this story I thought I would read a couple of chapters then go to bed but no such luck once I start reading I couldn't stop only problem is now that the story is done I'm left wanting more I didn't want it to end I've read all of Linda Hopkins other books an they were amazing as well but I think this one is the best one yet I'm so hoping I'll be reading more about the characters in this story soon
I couldn't put it down!
I couldn't put it down!
This story played out 100% unlike ANY shifter romance I have EVER read. The change was so refreshing, and I loved the feeling of truly not knowing what would happen next.
Lee made a great hero. I loved his vulnerability and how he protected Melissa so fiercely. He maintained his humanity while in his other form, and I enjoyed reading his interactions with Melissa.
I enjoyed reading Melissa's stubbornness. She didn't give up on anything very easily, and that relentless streak made for some interesting situations.
The final love scene was rather...unconventional. While I chose to see the symbolism of what it represented between Lee and Melissa, I could see how some people may take issue with it. No spoilers here, but I will say that you've probably never read anything like it!
All in all, I enjoyed the uniqueness of this story and would definitely read more books by Linda!
