She’s a divorcee who’s still struggling to recover. He’s notorious for his reckless ways with women. What could possibly go wrong?
Kate Bennet owns a small bookstore in the breathtaking Central Coast town of Cambria, California. Two years out from a divorce that left her emotionally fragile, she’s starting to think that maybe she’s ready for love again—or at least for a fling with a hot man. Jackson Graham is a local chef who’s controlling when it comes to food, careless when it comes to love, and temperamental when it comes to just about everything.
When Kate’s friends set things up between Kate and Jackson, she expects some casual pleasure followed by a hasty goodbye, but Jackson’s long-term crush on Kate means that he’s in this one to win. The problem is, neither he nor Kate knows whether he can change the self-defeating habits that usually send women scurrying for the door.
MOONSTONE BEACH is the first book in the Main Street Merchants series by Linda Seed. Read the novel readers have called “funny,” “delightful,” and “captivating.”
Liked it but sort of a cliffhanger
Enjoyed the book but had a rushed ending leaving me with lots of questions. I suspect this is intentional so you'll move on to the next book in the series. This was a good fast read but seriously needed an epilogue. A lot was left unresolved.
Author-Linda Seed, has created
an extremely entertaining novel.
Her lovable characters, with their
dilemmas with family and friends,
soon seem like personalities
that you could really relate to.
This reader was always rooting
for Kate and Jackson. Eventually,
love conquers all, however, it is
quite difficult to say good-bye to
this charming town of Cambria.
(With the help of google earth,
I was able to enjoy the quaint
shops along Main Street, as well
as the beautiful California scenery
of sea, sky, flora & fauna!) But my
problem is solved with the rest
of the books in the Main Street
Series-can’t wait to enjoy them
too. Once again, Ms Seed, thanks
for writing a terrific, heartwarming

Great book. It kept me interested at first then I was obsessed to keep reading, so much so that I'm sleep deprived. Sad I finished it but will start the next series.
