Christine and Marcus Nilsson, the Connecticut couple at the heart of this uneven standalone from bestseller Scottoline (Every Fifteen Minutes), have decided to use a sperm-bank donor after three years struggling to have a baby. No. 3319's identity is anonymous, but, like many donors, he submitted two photographs one as a child, one as an adult. While on early leave from her job as an elementary school teacher, pregnant Christine becomes convinced that the donor is Zachary Jeffcoat, who's being called "the Nurse Murderer" in a TV newscast after his arrest. Christine begins her own investigation to determine if the biological father of her child is a serial killer, even if it puts her life and her marriage at risk. The plot is strongest when focusing on the trials of a couple desperate for a child and the psychological ramifications of using a sperm donor. But too often the story sinks to the melodramatic, unredeemed by Scottoline's usual verve for character.

Like all other books that Lisa has written,excellent! I found it hard to put down . Now have to wait until August for the next one.

This book had so much potential with a great story idea, but the plot simply took a ridiculous turn. Don't waste your time.
Extremely disappointing!
Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline involves an interesting moral dilemma. Christine Nilsson, schoolteacher, and her husband, Marcus are finally pregnant. They have been trying to get pregnant for quite some time. After a round of tests, it is discovered that Marcus is the culprit. They decided to use a sperm bank and picked a man that looked like Marcus. Then Christine sees a news report about Zachary Jeffcoat being arrested for murder. This man, Zachary, looks just like their donor. Is it him? Christine is sure it is the same man and sets out to find the truth. If their donor really is a murderer, what will they do about their baby? Christine finds herself trying to prove Zachary’s innocence (hires him a lawyer).
I found Most Wanted to be an unsurprising novel that contains quite a bit superfluous writing. The story goes on for way too long (I started skimming and wondering if the novel would ever end). The book shows a woman who is out of control and no one stops her (blamed on hormones). Most Wanted was less than acceptable. I am surprised that this book was written by Lisa Scottoline. I found the book to be expected (predictable) especially the ending. I kept hoping for something unexpected or surprising (like killing off the whiny husband). I give Most Wanted 2 out of 5 stars. The characters were not enjoyable (or likeable) especially the husband, Marcus (he had some serious issues). If you want a 101 on sperm banks, then you will want to read this book. If you are looking for a crime novel/thriller, then this is not the book for you.
