Who doesn't love a lone wolf?
Although I wanted the 8th book would be about Micah, disappointment was the furthest thing from my mind as I started reading. Grant is so adorable! He is a loner and looks grumpy all the time but is a giant lovable dog. He is actually really sensitive and I fell in love with his character right away. I love Ellie and he grandma too. The storyline in the series is more about the children getting sick than it is about the ferals and the one controlling them which is ok because when you're in a city deep underground it's kind of hard to bring ferals into the equation. I was also happy that some of the other members from the Alpha Unit came to help out. I was going through Kendrick withdrawal!! This series is amazing and I can't wait for the next book!
Absolute 5 star read!
As always the magic that is an Alanea Alder book lives on. She has created such a wonderful world with characters who are as loveable as they are zany. There are so many laugh out loud moments as well as moments that bring tears to your eyes whether they be of laughter or for the characters.
This book touched me in so many ways. I can identify with many of her characters and their struggles. And as always Meryn can lighten up any heartache by reminding us of the absurdity that is involved.
