We came into the first edition of a small prayer book from the Jesuit fathers in London, published in 1790.  It had not a name so we call it Notate Bene, Latin for Note Well, from a phrase in the book.

When it arrived we were taken aback.  Notate Bene’s English is so elegant and written with such economy of Expression that it is perfect for “Little Visits” before the Blessed Sacrament.  We decided to make this rare treasure available to our friends. We re-typeset it exactly as the original and gave it a hand stitched binding but inevitably it was destined for a much larger audience.  Congratulations.
