Book 3, Alpha
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
When you make an enemy of a man like Vitaly Karahalios, there is nowhere on earth you can go to escape his wrath. He'll find you. He found me, he found Roth. He found Layla.
He found us, and now the unthinkable has happened. Someone I love has been kidnapped.
This isn't a fairy tale.
Not everyone will get a happily ever after.
Sometimes we can't just walk away from the past.
Love doesn't always save the day.
The beast won't always get his beauty.
But maybe, just maybe we can get our happy ending.
The end is here
***The final book in the Alpha series is a sizzlingly sexy, action-packed read sprinkled with Wilder’s signature wit. A truly fitting end to this rollercoaster ride of a story that has spread out in three heart-stopping books.***
The end is here. Jasinda Wilder has given us the final chapter in the Alpha series. Are you all ready for this?
The story picks up a little bit after the final pages of Beta. Still sailing around the world, Roth and Kyrie have a new companion on board, Layla. Kyrie’s smart-mouthed, tell-it-like-it-is friend is now under the protection of Roth and Harris, and lets just say that she is not totally thrilled about it. However, to keep her safe from Vitaly, there are limited options.
In a horrible turn of events, Layla is kidnapped by the very men Kyrie has tried to protect her from. It is here that the story is heard from Layla. In her sarcastically fabulous way, we learn much more about the woman who has been friends with Kyrie for all these years. There is also a budding romance that will ignite the pages of this book. Through it all, Harris and his team of men are in pursuit of Layla and by extension Vitaly. Will they make it to her on time? Will Kyrie, Roth, Harris, and Layla be able to finally stop looking over their shoulders? Can they all have the happily ever after that they so desperately want, but is always out of reach? These are the questions that will be answered in this epic finale.
If you have followed the story of Kyrie and Roth as I have, this may be a sad day for you. Truthfully, I put off reading Omega as long as I could because I wasn’t sure I wanted it to end. It is a funny thing when you know that this will be it. You want to jump into the book and not look back. However, there is something that nags at you and almost makes you slow down to savor all the moments. Maybe this is just me and I could be crazy, but whenever I get to a series that is concluding, this is exactly how I react.
Through it all, the bloodshed, the humor, the sex that might just overheat your eReader, and the compassion, Jasinda Wilder never ceases to amaze me by her story telling. For two complete books, she has given us Kyrie and Roth’s story through their own words. Now, she has added another level by letting us hear from Layla. By having another vantage point, the author set this conclusion apart from the other parts of the story that have brought us here. It is refreshing to experience something so different, but yet so familiar within the series. The wit and sarcasm just flew off the page. The bluntness that Layla has is priceless. On top of that, there is a more honest and sensitive side to her that she is dealing with as she fights with her emotions.
There is no doubt that Jasinda has the ability to mold and shape her characters within the pages of her books. This series is no different. As each event occurs and obstacle is overcome, the complete cast becomes more complex and grow. And this is why those of us who love Jasinda’s writing keep coming back for more.
So, now is the time. Are you ready for the end?
Art, Books, & Coffee Rating: ☕☕☕☕☕
This book was actually worth the wait. Don't read there may be a little bit of a spoiler: I was so happy to see the "spitfire" Layla and learn of her backstory. And Harris is proves that he could hold your interest without Roth or Kyrie in the mix as well. I was quite satisfied with how old man Vitaly was taken out and glad there was closure. Overall this book was well thought out (although it had a little too much profanity at times), but it made things come full circle. And no I didn't get this book for free. Looking forward to read more from this author.
Unexpected... I loved it though.
This book was more like Beta in the sense that there was a lot of action. The story was half told by Layla, which I wasn't expecting. It was still a great read. I read it in 6 hours. There was closure. I am happy with the ending.
