What's New in Version 188.8.131.52
June 2016 Update (v184.108.40.206): Hey, OmniGraffle fans! Summer’s here, and our engineers have been working on a bunch of updates for OmniGraffle 6.6, including a new feature that lets you Control-/Right-click on a ruler or the canvas to change the units of measurement. This update to the User Manual includes the following changes: • Updated the “Getting to Know OmniGraffle” chapter to include more details about “Rulers, Ruler Units, and Guides” • Updated the section, “The Units Inspector” (in “Working With the Inspectors”) to include updated screenshots and text for the discussions of “Ruler Units” and “Canvas Scale,” including a note about how Stencils are affected by Canvas Scale when the “Enforce canvas scale” option is turned on. • Added the section, “Working with Bézier Curves” to the “Drawing Basics” chapter. Also included in this new section are some video clips to help illustrate how to interact with vector points and Bézier control handles. Thank you for being a faithful OmniGraffle user, and for taking the time to read our documentation. If you feel compelled, please take the time to add a review, either for the app, this book, or both. Enjoy your summer! January 27, 2016 Update (v220.127.116.11): Happy New Year, OmniGraffle fans! We’ve decided to start out the New Year with a bang, and have a HUGE update for OmniGraffle for Mac. Additions/changes to this update include: • A new chapter, “Using and Creating Stencils”. This chapter shows you how to use the Stencils Library to add objects to the canvas. You’ll also learn how to edit an existing stencil, and how to create stencils from the things you draw in OmniGraffle. This chapter also shows you how to upload stencils to the Omni-hosted, user-contributed website and resource, Stenciltown (https://stenciltown.omnigroup.com), from directly within OmniGraffle. After creating an Omni ID on Stenciltown, you can log in and submit stencils, which makes them immediately searchable in the Stencils Library by everyone who uses OmniGraffle! • Minor updates to the Introduction, Using the Document Browser, and a refresh of many of the screenshots in the book. September 2015 Update (v18.104.22.168): • Removed the rollover animation in the “Getting to Know OmniGraffle” chapter since that didn’t necessarily work too well in the EPUB. • Updated numerous screenshots, particularly in the Preferences and Resource Browser sections • We dropped the glyphs used for Notes, Tips, and Warnings; hope you like the new styles better • Speaking of styles, we’ve updated the EPUB stylesheet again with the following notable changes: • Items marked as OmniGraffle Pro features now have a green border with a matching colored header, where applicable. • Revised the styling for code/filepaths (see “A Note About Where the Templates Are Stored”) • Added a new sidebar to the “Menus and Keyboard Shortcuts” chapter, titled “What Happened to Diagram Styles?”. Diagram Styles, a feature of earlier versions of OmniGraffle, were phased out in OmniGraffle 6 in lieu of Templates. This sidebar shows you how to get Diagram Style-like benefits from a Template. • Thank you for taking the time to read the documentation for OmniGraffle. If you find the docs useful, please write a review and let us know what you think. • And thank you for using OmniGraffle! March 2015 Update (v22.214.171.124): * Removed text that referenced the ability to create a new document as Diagram Styles. Sorry, that feature was deprecated with the release of OmniGraffle 6.0. * Added a Note to the “Menu Items and Keyboard Shortcuts” chapter about where to save a template that you can later apply as a Diagram Style (via Format > Choose Diagram Style…). November 24, 2014 Update (v126.96.36.199): * In the Introduction, changed the heading “Get the iBook” to “Get the EPUB” to address a ticket from Apple regarding proper usage of Apple terminology.
