The Only Pirate at the Party

This book is available for download with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device, and with iTunes on your computer. Books can be read with iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Dancing electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling shares her unconventional journey in an inspiring New York Times bestselling memoir filled with the energy, persistence, and humor that have helped her successfully pursue a passion outside the box.

A classically trained musician gone rogue, Lindsey Stirling is the epitome of independent, millennial-defined success: after being voted off the set of America’s Got Talent, she went on to amass more than ten million social media fans, record two full-length albums, release multiple hits with billions of YouTube views, and to tour sold-out venues across the world.

Lindsey is not afraid to be herself. In fact, it’s her confidence and individuality that have propelled her into the spotlight. But the road hasn’t been easy. After being rejected by talent scouts, music reps, and eventually on national television, Lindsey forged her own path, step by step. Detailing every trial and triumph she has experienced until now, Lindsey shares stories of her humble yet charmed childhood, humorous adolescence, life as a struggling musician, personal struggles with anorexia, and finally, success as a world-class entertainer. Lindsey’s magnetizing story—at once remarkable and universal—is a testimony that there is no singular recipe for success, and despite what people may say, sometimes it’s okay to be The Only Pirate at the Party.

I seriously cannot find words to describe how truly exited and happy I am that my role model Lindsey Stirling is ACTUALLY FOR REAL writing a BOOK!!! I am definitely going to be buying this as soon as it comes out at the book store! This means so much to me that she's writing a book, because I'm literally her #1 fan!!! I love love LOVE Lindsey, she has inspired me so so much, and she's the one that inspired me to teach myself violin since my parents can't get me lessons, and having her as a role model has always inspired to keep doing what I love to do even on the bad days, because I just remember how she kept doing what she loved to do even when she was humiliated on national television. She really has been such a true inspiration to me the way she does what she loves and what she knows to be right and how she's held to her beliefs even through her fame, which I know must be really hard. I applaud Lindsey, and I can only say thank you to her for doing this for fans like me. :)

Saw this beauty once last year and will see her again on Wednesday! Love sharing a birthday with her! I hope they had a different cover for it.

I'm so ready for this!!

To witness my favorite artist over the years make it so far as an independent performer is so inspiring and makes me feel so much more driven to follow my own path towards what I want to be. Honestly,I'm really proud to see her make it to this point. Can't wait to read it! 😄🙌🎻
