Who knew camping could be so deadly…
A family outing in a national forest seemed like the best kind of R&R to Meg Berman. Even Kate McKenzie was convinced after learning a fully equipped cabin was part of the plan. When an afternoon scavenger hunt in the woods ends the day with a dead body, however, the natural beauty around them takes a decidedly sinister twist. Worse, after interviewing witnesses, the police suspect one of them could be the prime suspect. They not only must get off the police radar--but at the same time stay out of the killer's crosshairs and keep their families safe.
Organized for S'more Death is the newest release in the popular Organized Mysteries series from USA TODAY bestselling author Ritter Ames, which features a small town New England setting and interesting characters, along with humor, strong family and friendship ties, and absorbing cozy mysteries.
All roads lead to F-U-N
“Keith chuckled softly and stopped her words with a kiss. When they broke, he said, “I know, Katie. You and Meg stumble into more trouble than any two women I’ve ever seen. We should have brought the cat so he could have gone with you”
Getting ready for another school year is hard enough; with 4 kids between them, Kate,Meg and their husbands decide the weekend before school starts that camping together might just get everyone prepared. Despite a night with a blowhard newsman, everyone seems to be ready to go. Even Paul, the houseguest is going in the same direction. However, when they get to the campsite and Paul goes on to his caravan, things seem to be shaping up....until...a series of unfortunate events cause the trip to be cut short and the families head back home, with plans to return for their stuff the next day.
Despite Meg’s house being wired for an alarms system, trouble seems to have followed them home. In true Wonder Woman/Batgirl style, Kate, Meg and their sidekick Robin-Hero the wonder cat manage to organize everything and save the day yet again....this time with Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chunk Choco-Chip Cookies!
I love Ritter Ames’ style, from this series to her Bodies of Art and soon another new series:” Frugal Lissa Mysteries”. All roads point in the direction of f-u-n...and you actually might learn a thing or two along the way. Highly recommended 5/5
