Harry Hole Series - A Harry Hole Novel

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

Inspector Harry Hole investigates a serial killer targeting Oslo’s police officers in this installment of Jo Nesbø’s New York Times bestselling series. Look out for the latest Harry Hole novel, The Thirstavailable now.
For years, detective Harry Hole has been at the center of every major criminal investigation in Oslo. His brilliant insights and dedication to his job have saved countless lives over the years. But as the killer grows increasingly bold and the media reaction increasingly hysterical, the detective is nowhere to be found. This time, when those he loves and values most are facing terrible danger, Harry is in no position to protect anyone—least of all himself.

From Publishers Weekly

Aug 26, 2013 – The life of Insp. Harry Hole, who was shot in the head by his surrogate son in the finale of 2012 s Phantom, hangs in the balance for much of Nesb s powerful 10th novel featuring the Oslo homicide cop. Secondary players who have helped out along the way step into the spotlight: forensics expert and facial-recognition whiz Beate L nn; the brilliant but psychologically unstable detective Katrine Bratt; Harry s longtime friend Bj rn Holm; and the slippery new police chief, Mikael Bellman. The police force itself is at stake when it becomes apparent that the seemingly unrelated deaths of police officers are actually part of a larger pattern: each officer was slain at the site of an unsolved crime. In Nesb s able hands, Harry s absence is a character unto itself, but this will only make readers more eager to learn Harry s fate. Author tour. 150,000-copy announced first printing.

Customer Reviews

Excellent book, I think possibly his best. Had me guessing all the way, he is a brilliant writer it must be said.

Just Wild About Harry

Like the song says, "I'm just wild about Harry..." Jo Nesbo takes us on another emotional roller-coaster in this taut, tightly written thriller.

Since Harry Hole became a part of my life, I have laughed, cried, sweated, trembled, begged, and feared what was to come after the turn of a page.

I swore at Jo Nesbo for breaking my heart, swore off Jo Nesbo for taking my friends, and swore an oath to Jo Nesbo that I will read every word he ever writes ... I am " just wild about Harry, " and wilder for all the works of this excellent author. Jo Nesbo leaves me waiting for more, and more...

Bad read

I don't know. Bad writing? Bad translation? Whatever, entire sections of this book are incomprehensible. Conversations make no sense, scenes change abruptly and illogically, and it's sometimes even hard to tell who or what is the object of the text. I enjoyed Phantom; it's going to be a struggle to finish Police.
