Description
Under cover of night in Richmond, Virginia, a human monster strikes, leaving a gruesome trail of stranglings that has paralyzed the city. Medical examiner Kay Scarpetta suspects the worst: a deliberate campaign by a brilliant serial killer whose signature offers precious few clues. But this investigation will test Kay like no other, because it's being sabotaged from within and someone wants her dead.

Good read
Ready for the next book in this series.
Stupid
Just plain badly written.
good start to a series
Quick easy read. Mostly entertaining. I found her red herrings a little two red and obvious for me to have considered them seriously. The forensics were well done and interesting and the major characters were fairly well drawn. Overall a good forensic mystery that requires some thinking, but not overly taxing.
