USA Today bestselling author Catherine Gayle presents another novel in the emotional Portland Storm hockey romance series.
She’s got the dress; he’s got the honeymoon. Why not tie the knot?
Honeymooning alone in Cabo, injured Portland Storm center Riley Jezek would do anything to get back at his cheating ex-fiancée and backstabbing brother. When a knockout blonde sits next to him at the bar, Riley’s ready to erase the memories of his ex. But when he notices the tears threatening to stain the blonde’s wedding gown, Riley decides it’s time for a Power Play.
Mackenzie Cain thought she had it all figured out. She found the man. She found the fairytale. She thought it was her dream come true. She was wrong. What she found was a nightmare with a crazy fetish. Alone and dressed in couture was not how she envisioned her wedding night.
When the sexy hockey player makes her an offer, Mackenzie can’t refuse. After all, Prince Charming always shows up by chance. But can Riley’s attempt at revenge turn Mackenzie’s new reality into a page-turning romance?

A cheating fiancée and a misleading online relationship land both RJ and Mackenzie on a Mexican beach at a wedding to each other! This book is the next in the lineup for the Portland Storm and it is well worth the wait!
The story kept me interested and had me cheering for Mackenzie and RJ to defy the odds and make it work. I love Max and Lola, who took such a large role in making these two loners into a real family. I was won over by these two, both of them wanting to belong but they never think they will. This is one of those feel good books that you couldn’t put down but never wanted it to end. It’s a great summer read. I highly recommend it!
** I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I loved this book! I was totally waiting for Riley's book and Catherine didn't disappoint me. I loved the plot line between Riley and Mackenzie. I enjoyed reading about past couples and how they are doing and about some of the other players. As always Catherine takes your emotions on a ride.
*I received an ARC of this book but I have also preordered it*
Wow! Catherine Gayle has won the Stanley Cup with this one! You know how sometimes an author can just go so far into a series that it loses the panache of the earlier books in the series? Yeah, WELL THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE!! This book is amazing and dare I say one of my fave top 3 Portland Storm books to date!!!
Riley Jezek (RJ to his teammates) and Mackenzie meet under some pretty odd circumstances and they are just a match made in Heaven! Or in Cabo anyway. I adore them! They have some serious sexual chemistry! Ooo-la-la!! The storyline was absolutely fantastic as it touches on some pretty basic fears that people have and how to work with them. Our hero Riley is just everything you want a hero to be and more. And Mackenzie is probably one of my favorite Storm heroines! She is naive, sweet, vulnerable and so genuine it is a breath of fresh air!
Love Lola and Max! Great part of the storyline!
I love that we also get scenes with some of our favorite players and their WAGs and in some cases their children and dogs. This is one of my favorite book hockey teams to read about!
Fantastic epilogue!! I loved it!!!! 5 shoot-out stars!!!
