New York Times bestselling author Jane Green presents a compelling novel about the love that keeps us together when everything is falling apart.
A successful photographer living in Bedford, New York, Callie Perry adores the settled existence she shares with her handsome husband and two adorable children. But while Callie’s life is practically perfect, her nearest and dearest are having a harder time.
Her best friend Lila is stuck dealing with her dream man’s demanding ex-wife. Her free-spirited sister Steffi is adjusting after leaving her city life for the simplicity of the country. And her divorced parents, Walter and Honor, can barely stand each other.
But when Callie is diagnosed with a recurrence of the cancer she thought she had beaten, everything changes. With their own problems suddenly in perspective, Callie’s family and friends rally to support her during an unforgettable, emotional—and ultimately life-changing year.

Easy read. Surprised by the emotional depth of otherwise another summer read. Very enjoyable
Heartbreaking and touching
I've read all of Jane Green's books and this one, while clearly designed to be sentimental, didn't feel contrived. As a mom of three young kids I identified with the main character's terror at the prospect of leaving her children and I thought the scenes with Reece struggling to parent were accurate and touching. This isn't a literary masterpiece but it's well written and thoroughly engaging. The dialogue and diction are classic Green and are reminiscent of her other novels. I loved this book and would certainly recommend it.
I've read a lot of Jane Green books and love her writing. This book was by far her most engaging and emotionally touching piece of work. I enjoyed every word and felt such a deep connection with the story. I cried, I laughed, I hurt, I smiled, and most of all I could not put the book down. This is a must read.
