Book 1, Pucked
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. She isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.
Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant―and quirky―gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.
The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.
GREAT BOOK !
- I LOVED this book !! This book is one of my favorites because not ONLY is it a FANTASTIC eroctic romance but it had A LOT of humor in it as well !! Love the humor in it. I couldn't stop laughing !! If your reading this, you better get this book cause it's worth your while !!
In Pucked, there were some good one liners. Violet’s saucy witty mouth created some laugh out loud moments. With all that said, Violet’s character, at twenty-two, led by her beavers urges. The story was missing angst build-up due to the fact that Violet’s beaver couldn’t reject Alex’s meat-pole.
The plot was generic and basic. The story was an insta-love romance with a sports theme and some comedic dialogue. The main characters started as a one-night fling, but quickly escalated to more. Pucked was a character driven story about hockey players and the stereotypes associated with NHL players and their sexual exploits. Many characters were introduced to set up multiple stories for more standalone related stories in the Pucked series.
I’m not connecting with Helena’s writing style. I like to laugh but when it’s overdone with repetitive scenes about beavers and monster cocks the laughter starts to fade into boredom. This type of dialogue just made the characters sound immature. I had too many issues with these characters that I rather not list them. Unfortunately, this book became a chore to read with very developmental growth.
Violet’s boobs became a secondary theme to the story. As well as talk about Violet’s beaver and their mouth pucking.
Loved this book!
This was one of the best books I have read in years! It was well written, funny, witty, and sexy. Truly enjoyed this book. Just bought the rest of the series.
