Best Fish ID Book EVER!

I just bought this book, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I already own the paper version of the book that I will never give up, but for travel this is great. I took a picture of a juvenile spotted trunkfish today and was able to easily and quickly identify it. Thank you for creating this version. Did I say how much I love it? I will buy the other books as soon as they are available in this format. It is sooo easy to use. Thanks again.

Best Fish ID ever

First of all, Thank You from all of us in the iPad community. We are SO grateful for this iPad adaptation of the Reef Fish identification book for the Tropical Western Atlantic. Many of us sailors and divers travel with only our iPad rather than a computer now, rendering the CD platform less useful to us.
The iPad platform makes it possible to compare GoPro photos with REEF illustrations and photos for easier fish ID. I was able to solve several tricky identification issues with this method. My wife is a level 5 REEF surveyor and I am studying for my level 4. We use this new iPad book after every dive/snorkel to compare sightings. It is so easy to navigate between species and examine information.
We especially like the additional photos which expand on the edition 4 book. The luminosity of the screen helps in differentiating between similar species. Very Helpful!

Reef Fish Identification - Florida Caribbean Bahamas

This book is an underwater home run! We travel a lot (most divers do, duh) and carrying a laptop was required after the books were made available electronically. Then the iPad versions came out, but were still clunky.

This version is the best to date. It works much more intuitively, fish seem easier to find and the photos and descriptions are fast and beautiful. The iPad/iBooks format is now our choice for display. I like our paper versions but they are impractical to haul internationally. This version is close enough to the paper so it isn’t a chore to use.

Previous electronic versions were OK but this one puts both of them in the shade. If the other books are made available in the iBooks format, I’ll spring for them. Especially the Pacific books (hint, hint).

If you buy this version you’ll be glad you did.
