Book 5, Delta Force Heroes

Graham “Hollywood” Caverly feels the chemistry with Kassie Anderson in the emails they’ve been exchanging through a dating site. When they finally meet in person, and that online chemistry proves to have real-life sizzle, he knows she’s the one. He couldn’t be happier when their first date, at an annual Army Ball, goes better than he could have imagined. Until Kassie drops a bomb.
Kassie doesn’t want to approach Hollywood on the dating site, but threats to her family leave her no other choice. She definitely doesn’t want to fall for the man. But fall she does. Hard. After she admits the ruse—and after some understandable anger on both their parts—Kassie wonders if, in Hollywood’s arms, a happy future is within her grasp.
But her past always finds her, and in Kassie’s case, that’s a dangerous proposition—because she’s connected to an old enemy of Hollywood’s Delta Force team. Very intimately connected… And it will take Hollywood, his Delta brothers, and even some outside help to do what should have been done the first time—eliminate the threat once and for all.
Another great addition to the series!!

These men kill me. I mean they absolutely slay me. See that puddle on the ground? That’s me. They are perfectly imperfect and the women are feisty even when vulnerable. It’s no wonder that I look forward to getting my hands on these books because they are addicting. They’re sweet, smexy, humorous and the dynamic between the characters is so well done that I get lost in the story and simply want more even when the book is over.
I loved Hollywood and Kassie. Hollywood seriously slayed me. He had his moments, as was to be expected, but I love me a straight shooting protective alpha male who oozes with equal amounts of honor and sexy appeal, and that’s Hollywood to a T. I loved Kassie’s quirks and how she owned them. I had to admire her strength of will when faced with making difficult decision because they showed how huge and golden her heart was. The way they meet may not have been on the up and up, but it was fun. I was chuckling over their interactions and loved how their relationship evolved over the course of the book. It wasn’t smooth sailing, but I loved how Hollywood stepped in to be her shield while helping her to become stronger. Their relationship does tip more on the sweet side of the coin, but the smexy was there and it was HAWT! We get the full meal deal with this book and I really like where they ended up.
The writing was engaging and though some parts did drag for me, it didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the story. The twists and turns were done well and though I did guess correctly about one thing, I was still surprised with how it was connected to the storyline. But, as always, I loved the Delta Force guys, their women and their friends who pop up whenever they need the help and Annie is still my favorite of them all. And that little tease of Rescuing Bryn has me wanting it right now so I can get to know Fish better, especially after the role he played in this book. So bring on the next book!

Everything is NOT as it seems...
This is the 5th book in Susan Stokers Delta Force Series.
In this book, Kassie is coerced into "meeting" Hollywood, by the baddie Jacks and his lacky Dean. This is a typical Susan Stoker book, and you know where things are headed...until she zigs when you were forseeing a zag and BAM! Now anything is possible again. This is one of my more favorite stories in this series. You CANNOT go wrong with this book. And the ending...OMG!!! That's all I can say is...OMG!!! She also brings Dane "Fish" Monroe back for this story and you find out that his character is so much deeper than we originally thought.
A GREAT STORY!!!!!
Great 5th book
I received an ARC of this book but would have purchased it even if I didn’t because I have read all the others in the series. :)
I enjoyed this book. It was a good tie up of the Jacks storyline. I liked Kassie and even though she was in a tough situation she still came clean very quickly upon meeting Hollywood. She was tough even though she was scared for her family. It is helpful to read the other books in there series but not a must.
