Description

Jason Bourne is searching for an elusive cadre of terrorists planning to destroy America's most strategic natural resources-and needs the help of his longtime friend, General Boris Karpov. Karpov, the newly appointed head of Russia's most feared spy agency, FSB-2, is one of the most determined, honorable, and justice-hungry men that Bourne knows. But Karpov has made a deal with the devil. In order to remain the head of FSB-2, he must hunt down and kill Bourne.

Now, these two trusted friends are on a deadly collision course. From the Colombian highlands to Munich, Cadiz, and Damascus, the clock is counting down to a disaster that will cripple America's economic and military future. Only Bourne and Karpov have a chance to avert the catastrophe-but if they destroy each other first, that chance will be gone forever.

THE BOURNE DOMINION

Jason Bourne is one of the most compelling and best loved characters created by internationally bestselling novelist Robert Ludlum. The hero of eight novels, including The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy, Bourne has also been featured in three blockbuster movies starring Matt Damon. Now, New York Times bestselling author Eric Van Lustbader presents a new story about the rogue secret agent who has lost his memory.

Publishers Weekly Review

May 23, 2011 – Lustbader's complicated, action-packed sixth contribution (after The Bourne Objective) to Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne franchise pits the legendary, amnesiac superagent against longtime pal Boris Karpov, now head of Russia's secret police unit, FSB-2. Jason and Boris have helped each other in the past, but this time Boris's superior, Viktor Cherkesov, has persuaded him that he must kill Bourne to prove his worth and loyalty. Both Jason and Boris are battling a secret organization, Severus Domna, out to destroy America by capturing the only supplies of rare earths—minerals that are vital to all modern weaponry—that aren't in the hands of the Chinese. A host of other dangerous characters are involved, and it's a testament to Lustbader's skills that he can keep everyone in place and blazing away without losing track of the ongoing plot. While one needn't have read the earlier volumes, knowledge of the last two or three would help keep things straight.

Bourn Dominion

...had to finally put this book down for lack discernable literary style and verisimilitude. I was particularly disappointed in the forced similes and unreasonable metaphors. Years ago I read books by Robert Ludlum written by Robert Ludlum and enjoyed them. Sad to say he isn't writing any longer.

The Bourne Dominion

I could not put it down until it was finished. A great job, as usual, holding on to you right until the end. Can't wait for the next one!

Absolutely dreadful!

This is probably one of the worst novels I have ever read, or, should I say, attempted to read.

The various characters in this book are drawn as comic book cliches. The story is incomprehensible. It jumps around so much that I feel as though I'm on drugs because I have to re-read entire sections just to try to make sense of it. Robert Ludlum would roll in his grave if he read this book. His family and the author they selected should be ashamed to foist this kind of garbage on loyal Ludlum readers.
