Rock Chick Reckoning

Book 6, Rock Chick - Rock Chick, no. 6

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Description

Stella’s the lead singer and lead guitarist of the Blue Moon Gypsies and Stella used to be Mace’s girl. Mace broke up with her though and the loss of him rocked her world. But Stella gets a call, late at night (again) from one of the members of her crazy band. She has to go play clean up (again) and runs into Mace (and a shed load of police) and ends up getting shot.

Mace finds he doesn’t like it much that his ex-girlfriend got shot, right in front of him but it’s worse. A very bad man has thrown down the gauntlet and ALL the Rock Chicks are in the firing line. Stella doesn’t want Mace to be the one to keep her alive but she has no choice… mainly because Mace isn’t giving her one.

Great!!!!!!

This is my favorite of the series so far, I have 1 left to go but I don't think it can beat Stella and Mace!!!

Great, Except that Epilogue is full of Spoilers for Rest of Series!

I enjoyed this installment in the Rock Chick series. Stella and Mace made good main characters, and I enjoyed the chemistry between them. The storyline was good, and the book was fast paced and had plenty of action. All of the references to music and to particular songs added a great deal to the atmosphere of the book.

Stella Gunn misses so much about Kai "Mace" Mason, who broke up with her a year ago after dating for several months. Even so, she isn't ready to put her heart on the line for him again when he comes back into her life. While she'd much rather avoid him, it appears that her life is in danger due to her past connections with him, and he is determined to keep her safe.

I loved seeing all of the Rock Chicks/Hot Bunch Boys in this one. Stella and Mace were a good couple, although Stella's reluctance to be with Mace was annoying at times. Overall, I really liked both of them and enjoyed the story. I'm one of those readers who doesn't normally even look at a synopsis to see who the next book is about before I start it, so I was very disappointed that the epilogue gave away not only who the couples are in the next two books, but also how many children those couples to come have 5 years after the end of Rock Chick Reckoning, their genders, and even names. That was neat for the couples whose stories we've already read, but not good at all for the books left to come in the series! I've never read an epilogue before this that spoiled the next two books! This absolutely affected my feelings about and rating of the book.

Least Favorite!

Only book of KA I've ever gave such a low rating! Never been so disappointed! Mace is better than this and the book didn't reflect that at all! Two thumbs down! 😢
