Book 1, Runes - A Runes Novel
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
The award-winning bestseller that launched the RUNES series introduced RAINE and TORIN to readers.
Seventeen-year-old Raine Cooper has enough on her plate dealing with her father’s disappearance, her mother’s erratic behavior and the possibility of her boyfriend relocating. The last thing she needs is Torin St. James—a mysterious new neighbor with a wicked smile and uncanny way of reading her.
Raine is drawn to Torin’s dark sexiness against her better judgment, until he saves her life with weird marks and she realizes he is different. But by healing her, Torin changes something inside Raine. Now she can’t stop thinking about him. Half the time, she’s not sure whether to fall into his arms or run.
Scared, she sets out to find out what Torin is. But the closer she gets to the truth the more she uncovers something sinister about him. What Torin is goes back to an ancient mythology and Raine is somehow part of it. Not only is she and her friends in danger, she must choose a side, but the wrong choice will cost Raine her life.

This book is so good I love this it made me smile laugh and cry raine and torin are amazing
About 2 years ago, I became a fairly avid reader and now read an average of about 1.2 books a week. I've found that the more I read, the less impressed I become with books that may have interested me at one time. All that to say, when I find a book that occupies nearly all my thoughts during the times I'm unable to read, I know I've found a rare gem. "Runes" was definitely one of those books. When I was driving or cooking dinner, I ached to be reading, and now that it's over, I already ache for more. I'm giving it 4 stars because the e-version has a few errors and because from time to time, the author got a little long-winded and I felt enough could have been edited out to account for about 50 e-pages (my version had 777 pages). Truly excellent book though. I'd definitely call it "a must read" for lovers of magic.
Rune is a book i instantly fell in love with. The awesome storyline and great writing calls for some fantastic entertainment. Raine and Torin are a great couple of characters to read about and im really enjoying their journey to being a couple
