What he wants he gets...
Knox Masters is a quarterback's worst nightmare. Warrior. Champion. And...virgin. Knox knows what he wants--and he gets it. All American Football player? Check. NFL pros scouting him? Check. Now, he's set his sight on two things. The national title. And Ellie Campbell. Sure, she's the sister of his fellow teammate, but that's not going to stop him. Especially not when he’s convinced Ellie is the one.
...but he's never met her before.
But Ellie isn't as sure. She's trying to start a new life and she's not interested in a relationship...with anyone. Beside it's not just her cardinal rule of never dating her brother's teammates that keeps her away, but Ellie has a dark secret that would jeopardize everything Knox is pursuing.
Knox has no intention of losing. Ellie has no intention of giving in.

Fantastic New Series
*** ARC provided by the Author in return for an honest review***
Sacked is the first book is the Gridiron series by Jen Frederick. This book has the perfect formula of romance, comedy and bits of angst mixed in. I was hooked from page one when Knox meets Ellie. The chemistry and flirting between these two is off the charts. Knox knows immediately she is the one he has been looking and waiting for. However despite the pull she feels towards him, Ellie wants to keep her distance from him for multiple reasons. Adding to those reasons are her atrocious parents and something they are blackmailing her to do. Up until now Ellie has only had her brother Jack to depend on. As a result of this upbringing, she struggles with learning how to let Knox in. Knox himself is such a unique character. He is virgin stating, “It’s not a secret and I’m certainly not ashamed.” He has just been waiting for right girl. He knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that Ellie is his right girl. He is possessive, protective, and has the patience to break down her walls. Ellie's secret eventually comes to light and she pushes Knox away but I love how Knox handled it. One of the things I really enjoyed most about this book was the unique situation of the hero being the one to lose his virginity, his thought during it, and the heroine being the one to introduce him to some new techniques. This is rarely something I read in books and thought it was definitely handled well. Jen Frederick also wrote some rather memorable scenes including a SCORCHING bathroom scene and a hysterical "emergency" meeting between the teammates regarding Knox losing his virginity. I'm not sure which one of the secondary characters book 2 will be about but all I know is I can't wait for it. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.
Loved loved loved this story
If you are an Elle Kennedy fan, a fan of new adult romance, a fan of sports based romance, a fan of good writing...don't read this book. Sacked definitely has the premise for a good (though predictable) tale. I liked the idea of supportive siblings and teammates and a virgin hero! The author missed the mark in all of these themes that should have put an interesting spin on a well worn story. Her character development was not only poor, it was inconsistent. The MC claims to have never "done anything below the waist," but when he does he's amazing??? The h has a terrible sports related injury that required surgery and her bro is super protective...but she got hurt in EIGHTH GRADE. seriously? She's now in her twenties. Ridiculous. The whole book is so repetitive and flat. I skipped whole sections just to see how the "terrible secret" is found out. It was weird. I even skimmed the whole first time sex scene. Of course he lasted the whole time and gave her great orgasms even though he'd never had sex before. Right. Dumb. The excerpt for the next book in the series sounds so funny and witty, but I' not going to be fooled again. Unless it's free. I might try it for free..
