Shadow and Light

Shadow & Light is an elegantly evocative collection of short stories and poems presented by seven unique feminine voices. These thought-provoking poems and character-driven stories were initially created in thirty-minute prompted writing exercises in the Dune Hollow Writers group on Cape Cod, but they speak to us all through the universal themes of human relationships and the power of nature.  A woman reads the want ads and changes her granddaughter's world in Beautiful Life, a mother cares for a son in Retrieve, a pregnant teen second-guesses some of her choices in Trade Back, and a flower is exploited with startling intensity in Gathering Pollen. The writers’ voices are funny, poignant and true.  This writing is from, and for, the heart and soul.
