Book 2, Faeriewalker - A Faeriewalker Novel
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
On top of spending most of her time in a bunkerlike safe house and having her dates hijacked by a formidable Fae bodyguard, Faeriewalker Dana Hathaway is in for some more bad news: the Erlking and his pack of murderous minions known as the Wild Hunt have descended upon Avalon. With his homicidal appetite and immortal powers, the Erlking has long been the nightmare of the Fae realm. A fragile treaty with the Faerie Queen, sealed with a mysterious spell, is the one thing that keeps him from hunting unchecked in Avalon, the only place on Earth where humans and Fae live together. Which means Dana's in trouble, since it's common knowledge that the Faerie Queen wants her – and her rare Faeriewalker powers – dead. The smoldering, sexy Erlking's got his sights set on Dana, but does he only seek to kill her, or does he have something much darker in mind?
Good if you like that sort of thing
This is the continuation of Glimmerglass and it fills in a lot of questions left from that book, which I'd good. It's got a captivating idea and concept as well, which is also good. What is not so good, at least in my perspective, is the way the author wrote it. It written in first person from a girl of 16 years. Therefore it's written from with an average 16 year old's vocabulary, which to say the least, is not so captivating. It gets old hearing how hot certain characters are. I would give this 3 stars in general because of the way it was written and how repressive information is but it's certainly an unorthodox and interesting tale so I gave it an additional star.
An amazing story.
The fact that the main character talks about sex the whole time might put a damper on things, but if you overlook it and pick apart the story on a deeper level, it is a captivating, romantic story about a teenage girl who cannot let go of her dangerous obsession with this boy who loves her more than anyone else. I, being a teenage girl myself, loved every second of reading this book.
I loved the sequel
When I first read Glimmerglass I fell in love. I also loved Shadowspell as well. The only thing I can think of that was off was her talking about sex practically througout the book. Plus I'm all for Team Keane(: he doesn't come with the extra drama. Haha, well again it was an amazing story. Can't wait for details on the next book.
