Book 4, Sinful Nights
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
Intense. Devoted. Protective.
Michael Sloan is all of the above, with a hard, tough edge to boot. He's not the guy he used to be. Years ago, before all the s&%t went down, he was laidback, carefree, and even happy-go-lucky.
Life changed him. Hardened him.
There's one woman though who can break down his walls. Someone who knew him then. Who can reach inside to that heart he protects fiercely...because she's the only one he ever gave it to. When they collide, it's tender and savage, gentle and rough, and makes them both hungry for more of this electric, once-in-a-blue moon kind of sexual chemistry. But it's a battle of wills between Michael and the woman he loves, with words and emotions held close to the vest.
She doesn't believe she can ever move on from her own heartache, but when Michael makes her feel for the first time in years, it's both thrilling and scares the hell out of her, setting off all her flight instincts. He's determined not to lose her again, but he'll have to learn to let her in if he ever wants to fully heal from the past...
The problem is, she knows something about the night his family shattered. She has the missing puzzle piece...but neither one of them realizes it.
SWEET SINFUL NIGHTS
Sexy and Suspenseful Fun
Lauren Blakely has done it again----no surprise there though. Sinful Love is the last in this series (can be read as a stand-alone though) and it is an amazing addition. Michael and Annalise's story is full of passion, love and suspense as they embark on a second-chance romance. As with all of Blakely's books, this one is scorching hot. But this is t just a story about love and sex. It is mixed with secrets, danger and suspense as Michael works to find the men who killed his father 18 years ago. As the story comes to a head, it will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen. Sinful Love is a must-read for fans of Blakely's work.
Intrigue, love and closure
Sinful Love by Lauren Blakely is the final installment in the Sinful Nights Series with the focus on the oldest brother Michael and his high school sweetheart Annalise.
Michael and Annalise feel in the love the year Annalise came to America as a foreign exchange student who was staying at Becky and Sanders, close family friends of the Sloan’s. They agreed to a long distance relationship through college and pledged to be together again someday.
Their lives took separate paths and they grew apart. Michael’s family was torn apart by his father’s death and life sentence his mother received for the planning the murder. Annalise lived across the world helping her family. Life didn’t seem to want them together. Slowly they lost touch.
Annalise met and fell in love with another photojournalist Julien and eventually married him. She was happily married for several years before her husband died in his sleep one night from a known heat condition. Two years later she decides to reach out to Michael.
Michael stayed single and always felt like something was missing from his life even though he had a successful company and a family he cared for. There have been several women in his life but none of them have worked out due to his love for Annalise. He was not able to commit to anyone but her.
On a business trip to Las Vegas Annalise and Michael connect and the electricity is exciting, scary and unexpected. They have both been in love with each other for 18 years but they were unprepared for their feelings. As the story unravels we get both sides of the story as the feelings and fear each of them is feeling. Both fearing their feelings and trying to keep moving forward I wanted to give both of them a good smack to stop all of the nonsense they were thinking. Michael has to get past the fact Annalise was married and loved her husband. He doesn’t want to be her second choice. Meanwhile Annalise was struggling with the guilt of loving Michael after the death of her husband. How can she move on already? Is there enough room for both?
The final installment in the series ties the entire family and their struggles together. Colin, Shannon, Ryan and Michael have been running from their past and have now found closure they needed to move forward with their lives. Closing the chapter on their father’s death and knowing all of the parties involved have been put a way for a long time has provided this closure. Michael has always been the glue to hold the family together and ensure they are all safe, loved and cared for. He has put his love in the background for years. Now it is his turn.
Michael has found a new side of love that he never imagined. One that will allow him to live a full life with the women he loves. Sinful love is as passionate, loving, intriguing, lustful and suspenseful. Bring this phenomenal series to an end. Luck for us Lauren doesn’t leave us hanging on what happens the epilogue fills in the blanks. I highly recommend this series. If you like the romance along with suspense, love and hot sexy scene then these books are a must.
Lauren Blakely has done it again!
Sinful Love was the perfect way to end the Sinful Nights series. In fact, it was my favorite book in the whole series. It wowed me from start to finish. I loved everything about it - every piece of plot, every relationship.
I loved Michael and Annalise's story. Their characters and their relationship had a depth and felt like something out of real life. It started off as rocky as one would expect as former loves, but that went away very soon because Michael and Annalise were perfect for each other. Fans of second chance romances will love Sinful Love. Their emotions felt very real, as did their feelings for each other. The sex scenes were hot and wonderfully written.
There was another thing I really loved about this book and that was Annalise and how she was able to love two men, was able to marry another man after Michael and then find love with Michael. You don't see that a lot in books. There's a lot of pining or love triangles, but Annalise's story really impressed me. I don't want to give away spoilers, but it just added more to the story for me. It wasn't simply finding her first love again; there was more to it.
I have been impatiently waiting for answers regarding Thomas's death since book one, and I was not disappointed with the answers we finally get in Sinful Love. I was actually really impressed by the complexity of the Royal Sinners gang, how deep it went and how everything was connected. There were flashback chapters to go more in depth into what happened in the past, and they were a joy to read. They added something more to the story, so it wasn't just about Michael and Annalise getting together. The mystery also had such a huge role in this novel, more so than any of the others in the series.
I'm really sad this series had to end, but this is the best conclusion we could've gotten. I am fully satisfied with this ending. Thank you for this series, Lauren. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
