Many church leadership books today seem to focus heavily on the language of the corporate world. Throw a creative worship leader into the mix and vertigo sets in for all involved. Why? Creative leaders simply think differently. If you want to learn how to better explain your worship leadership to those in charge, this book is for you. If your role is leading worship leaders, the language shared in this book aims to help you take your team to their next level.
Simply Put: Worship Leaders - Read this Book!
Two things I really dig about this book:
1. Being a Worship Pastor/Worship Leader/etc for a while now, you recognize how you have to diversify yourself and your efforts. Rich nails that here. You can't just be the killer musician, or the guy who everyone wants to connect with. You need to be able to engage with every facet of your responsibilities as a worship leader. Rich lays out 6 really solid overarching "Hats" that us WL's have to wear, so you'll be well served with this book.
2. Rich is not a newbie, flash-in-the-pan, or purely academic. My man has spent so many hours leading people in worship, leading teams, working with leadership teams, you name it. Simply put: this info is coming from a source you can trust. This stuff is tried and true, and I've seen most if not all of this in my time in ministry.
Love Rich. Love his heart for other WL's. Love this book, will be gifting it to my buddies who need to read it.
