Drafted first round pick when I was seventeen, playing first line at eighteen, branded NHL's bad boy at nineteen. At twenty-three I was cut from the team and living back home with my parents. A knock on the door brought an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. All I had to do was prove I learned from my mistakes, so no way would I fall for a chick with a pouty mouth even if I wanted to spend all day devouring it.
When my father gave me a job, I had no idea it would be to babysit some washed up NHL player. He wanted me to be his chaperone, his overpaid babysitter. I thought it was a joke. Then I met him, Matthew Grant. I wasn’t prepared for this particular bad boy. He’s not only hot but he’s arrogant and kinda sweet in a 'you make me crazy' kind of way.
Basically now that he’s finished screwing up his life, he’s decided to turn mine upside down.
She’s the first thing I’ve ever wanted more than hockey.
He’s the guy I know I should stay away from.
But what if this thing that started out so wrong turns into something so perfect?
This is one emotional story!
This is one emotional story!
Natasha's prologue was BRILLIANT. This wasn't a backstory prologue. Nope. This was a "here's a juicy scene from later on in the book that you'll just have to read up to and see what happens" prologue. I was HOOKED, dying to know what happened next!
Karrie and Matthew are brought together in circumstances that made it impossible for them not to fall for each other, and I enjoyed reading how their relationship evolved.
I hand kind of a little bit of a hard time with some of Karrie & Matthew's interactions. He was VERY possessive and controlling, which I guess would have been okay if Karrie had seemed more on-board with it. I, personally, got the impression that she wasn't too crazy about his attempts to prevent her from doing a simple thing like dress shopping, but she really didn't do anything about it, which frustrated me a little.
All in all, this book was full of emotions and some funny lines, and I really enjoyed reading it!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
This is perfect!
Natasha has done it again! If you are looking to read about the ultimate arrogant bad boy, alpha male who reforms his ways when he meets the right woman, you need to read Something So Perfect.
After losing his NHL contract to his poor playing and partying ways, Matthew has been given a second chance to play on another NHL team and he's not going to take it for granted. The only caveat with the team owner is that he's accompanied by a chaperone at all times. That can't be too bad, right?!?
Little does Mathew know that his chaperone is the team owner’s daughter, Karrie, who turns out to be the sexiest woman he's ever seen. It doesn't take long for him to set his sights on her and tries to get under her skin in more ways than one. He is absolutely relentless when it comes to gaining her affections...GAME ON! Honestly, Matthew is like no other alpha male I've read about. He may take things to the extreme, but he is just as vulnerable as he is cocky and that makes him so darn irresistible.
The sense of humor that Natasha brings to this hot and sexy story is fantastic. The banter between Matthew and Karrie is funny, VERY FUNNY. I love Karrie. She is feisty, tough and does not back down to Matthew and his crazy antics, which happens to makes their interactions all the more entertaining. When it comes down to it, these two couldn't be more perfect together and watching them ride this relationship train is downright awesome. Hop on board Ladies!
I received this ARC for my honest review. I been waiting almost a year for this book and I just can said it worth the waiting. This is the second book of the series of Something So...they're standalone but we meet in the first one as a boy. Now this book take us a young adult Matthew who was drafted by NHL a really young age. Which leads him to make a lot of bad decisions that cost him his career. Now he got a second chance with new challenge to proof that he deserves to be at the ring again and with a "babysitter" which is none other than the owners daughter Karrie. But how Karrie can do her job of keeping him out of trouble when she's a track to him.
This is book is just perfect with the amount of drama, funny and hot. And how doesn't love a alpha male but let me tell you Matthew is not just a alpha he's a caveman but I guarantee that your going to love his caveman method and you wanted to claim him. Karrie will fight him because she's always been independent women.
Other fact that I love about this book is that we got to see a couple of characters from the others books.
