Once, the only thing that mattered to me was football—training, playing, and earning my place on the best team at every level. I had it all, and I threw it away with a semester of drugs, alcohol, and pissing off anyone who tried to stop me. Now I’m suspended from the team, on house arrest, and forced to spend six months at home to get my s**t together. The cherry on top of my fuckup sundae? Sleeping in the room next to mine is my best friend’s girl, Mia Mendez—the only woman I’ve ever loved and a reminder of everything I regret.
I’m not sure if having Mia so close will be heaven or hell. She’s off-limits—and not just because she’s working for my dad. Her heart belongs to someone else. But since the accident that killed her brother and changed everything, she walks around like a zombie, shutting out her friends and ignoring her dreams. We’re both broken, numb, and stuck in limbo.
Until I break my own rules and touch her.
Until she saves me from my nightmares by climbing into my bed.
Until the only thing I want more than having Mia for myself is to protect her from the truth.
I can’t rewrite the past, but I refuse to leave her heart in the hands of fate. For this girl, I’d climb into the sky and rearrange the stars.

Love&hate kinda book
I love all her book until this one. This book wasn't like her usual books. I usually can't put her book down. This one was really confusing and trying too much to introduce everyone on the upcoming books that it took away from the main characters.
Three lives, two loves and one nightmare
A Review of Spinning Out: The Blackhawk Boys, Book 1 by Lexi Ryan
This story surrounds a set of university football players, a girl from the wrong side of tracks and a love that keeps pulling them together regardless of how much they each hurt each other and themselves. Arrow has it all - a football career that has been his lifelong dream and the money to make his life easy. Brogan, his best friend from childhood has little money and self esteem issues. Mia is from a dirt poor, broken family with an alcoholic father and a brother that served time in prison for drugs - but she is smart and determined to make her life better. She goes to a community college, but has hopes to transfer to the university where her best friend is.
When she leaves a note for her best friend, she starts getting texts from a guy that lives in the same dorm. When she finally meets Arrow, she assumes that he is the guy she has been texting with and they have an instant connection with each other. However, when Brogan sees her, she finds out that he is the one she was texting with and she ends up choosing him over Arrow, due in part to Arrow's last name.
When tragedy strikes, everything changes for all three of these characters. What really happened that night? Who was at fault and how will this story end when the truth (or supposed truths) come out? This was a heartbreaking story, full of love, pain, lust and destructive behavior. You don't want to miss this story.

I'm sorry to say that I did not like this book very much at all. I skipped over so many pages! I've loved every other book by Lexi Ryan and couldn't wait for a new release from her. This was a disappointment and I'll probably be skipping the others in the series.
