Stones to Abbigale

I’ll begin by first admitting a couple things; that I am, to a degree, familiar with the author. Although over time I’ve found his online behavior to be questionable, to say the least, especially regarding former love interests, my opinions of him have softened a bit. I’ll also admit that I’m not finished reading yet, as I’m only on page 65, well past a tragic school shooting, and finally stopping for a break after a love scene. That being said, I wasn’t aware of this book’s existence until a few of the author’s more vocal critics made me aware of it. After reading some of the reviews on Amazon, which seem to have slid right past negative and slammed face first into outright hostile, curiosity got the better of me. Fortunately I noticed that this book had also been published on iTunes, so I went with the initial six page preview. Well, after that I felt it just wasn’t enough and figured what the heck, it’s only about six bucks, so I bought the whole thing. All that considered, is it a professional piece of work? Not really, no. But the author has admitted that he has never written a book before, nor has he been able to so much as read one in quite a while. But I have to give credit where credit is due. So far it’s an entertaining and pretty fun read. Granted I’m on page 65 and still have no idea what the characters I’ve been reading about even look like, let alone much of a back story behind them, except for maybe Abbigale, but there’s nothing wrong with the reader using a bit of imagination. This is a book, folks, not TV, not everything has to be literally spelled out for you. A little use of the personal imagination goes a long way. Despite it’s shortcomings and imperfections, the author clearly tried his hardest with this book, and it shows. I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of this story holds. To the young author I’d say I don’t mind telling you that you have a good thing going here. Could it have used a bit more polish? Maybe. Does it deserve the reviews I’ve seen on Amazon. I don’t think so, no. I believe the people that have written those reviews allowed their personal feelings about the author to get in the way of coming at this book objectively, and seeing it for what it is. If you feel the need to write again, Onision, then do so. Don’t be discouraged by what’s been said already. Again, you’ve got a good thing going here!

I started with the sample, once I started I could not put it down. I felt so connected with this book, I just wanted it to keep going! This is worth the money, I know I will be reading this again.
I usually do not get into books very much, I enjoy reading, but this was one of my top reads.
If you want passion, thrills, love, action, honesty, then read this book. You will not be disappointed!! Thanks to the man who wrote this!!! I hope you continue writing more!!!!
