Description

An all new second chance love story by the New York Times Bestselling author of the Driven series.

It all started with the invitation. To my ex-fiance’s new wedding.

I should have ignored it.Thrown it away. Set it afire. But I didn’t. I replied.

With a plus one.

And then my assistant accidentally mailed it.

Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye.

When he showed up  out of the blue ten years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex’s wedding. I should have never let him kiss me.

But I didn’t.

And now we’re left wondering if the pieces of the life we once shared still fit together somehow. First loves are hard to forget. The question is, do we want to forget? Or do we risk the chance and see what happens next?

Grudge Cupcakes - 5+++++ stars

A Review of Sweet Cheeks by K. Bromberg

Grudge Cupcakes - 5+++++ stars

When we first meet Saylor, she is looking at a wedding invitation from her ex-fiancé. The same invitation that she created for their wedding - same font, same location, etc., with the only change being the bride and the date. Out of spite, she marks yes on the RSVP and adds a mark for a plus one, but has no intention of actually sending it back or going to the wedding.

She has no regrets for leaving him a week before their wedding, but she does have those times that she wonders if she can make a go of her new life. With help from Ryder (her brother), she is trying to make a go of her bakery and pay him back. When Ryder finds out about the invitation and that the RSVP was sent, he decides that it might be a good idea for her to go, to show everyone that she made the right decision walking away from Mitch.

Then we meet Hayes - her first love. He walked away from her ten years ago and she hasn't talked to him since. We get to see bits and pieces of her life with Hayes and it is so easy to see the love they had for each other. Ms. Bromberg has a way of pulling you into the story and making you feel everything that is happening with the characters. I can totally see the movie of this storyline in my head and I would love to see more of these characters and the secondary ones, since I feel like I know them. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author!

Unquestionable Must Read!

"There's only one love that matters more than your first love: Your last love."

Sweet Cheeks is a delectable second chance romance that makes you believe in fate. That no matter what happens, or how much time has passed, soul mates are real and true love does conquer all. This book is full of wit and charm, sprinkled with provocative chemistry and unspoken secrets, and with a dash of drama.

The relationship between Hayes and Saylor is riddled with unresolved issues. You're given bits and pieces of their past together throughout the story, and it doesn't paint Hayes in a very good light. He's hiding something, but you just don't know what. You begin to completely understand how Saylor must have felt when he just up and left, without so much as a goodbye. But as the story continues, you begin to realize the exact reasons Hayes stayed away, and that Saylor isn't the heartbroken teenager anymore. And the more time they continue to spend together, the more they realize that they're first love has become their last love, and their futures have always belonged to each other.
But how can Hayes and Saylor move forward together, like pressing play on their relationship after a 10-year pause, when their past keeps colliding with their future?...and ultimately making them wonder if a future is at all possible.

I 100% fell in love with this book! The writing was exceptional, and the story flowed seamlessly. I completely felt like the friend trapped in the middle of their tumultuous relationship...like I needed to pick whose side I was on. But I declared myself Switzerland. I loved Hayes and Saylor both equally. Sexy, captivating, devilishly handsome, with a body made for sin...Hayes is a true heartthrob. And Saylor is like a best friend you didn't have...feisty attitude, caring, driven, and compassionate. It's hard not to love either of them! And the dialogue throughout the book was hilarious and emotional, from all the characters. As for the grudge cupcakes.....brilliant!

This is my first K. Bromberg book, and now I am scolding myself as to why I haven't read her previous books yet. If they're anything like Sweet Cheeks, I'm dying to read them now! This book sizzles with desire, boils over with love, and will thoroughly melt your heart!

Unquestionable must read; 5 Stars!
