Version 2 Updated for Swift 2.0 through Chapter 4 Do you know how to program in Swift, but don't know how to do all those incredible things you see in everyone else's app? Do you need a reference to look up how to do that one particular view controller? Do you want to use adaptive layout and make a single app for both iPhone and iPad? iOS8 and iOS9 made extensive changes to API's for a more adaptive layout. In Swift Swift View Controllers, you will learn to use auto layout, size classes, stack views, and the latest Swift implementations for the major types of view controllers including: Modal views Popovers Alerts Action Sheets Navigation Controllers Tab Bar Controllers Table View Controllers Split View Controllers Page views Collection Views With plenty of color illustrations and practical code snippets, Swift Swift View Controllers will take you step by step through many easy demonstrations, teaching you the stuff you really need to know to implement any of these view controllers. You will also learn how to move data between all these view controllers with delegates, segues and more for an efficient and well-written app. If you are an intermediate programmer learning auto layout or Swift's view controllers, or you just finished a beginning guide to Swift and want more, Swift Swift View Controllers will be invaluable.

Chapter 6 updated code for iOS9 / Swift 2.1 The full book is updated for Swift 2.1
Well-written and easy to understand
A very good book on intermediate and advanced iOS programming topics that are not covered in great detail anywhere else. I could not find another book, blog, or tutorial out there that goes over autolayout in this detail from the ground up. This book helped me solve a lot of problems in my coding. I’m very glad I found it.
Really good book
I bought the book as soon it become available to iBooks store and it's a really useful book with a lot good code. I use the book for consultations very often. I recommend it.
If you’re looking for a book to get you running in Swift with View Controllers this is it. It was the right book at the right time for me, and helped solidify a lot of things as I transitioned from Objective-C to Swift. The content is technical enough for someone thats been doing this a while, but not too technical for someone learning. Thanks for the great book Steve!
