Book 3, The Tangled Series

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

In the third unforgettable book by New York Times bestseller Emma Chase, Matthew Fisher—the best friend of Drew Evans from Tangled and Twisted—wants to settle down, but he’ll have to overcome the mistrust of the colorful and unique Dee Dee Warren.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.

It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.

When I met Dee, I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but it turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.

You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.

It’s how we got there.

From Publishers Weekly

May 26, 2014 – Knowing that romance readers expect a happy ending, Chase tries to make the journey the best part of the third and final Tangled new adult romance (after Twisted), but that journey never gets off the ground. Investment banker Matthew Fisher enjoy strings-free hookups. When he meets absurdly hot chemist Dee Warren, it's lust at first sight. Things are going well until she shocks him by ending their sexual relationship. She is unlike any woman he's ever met, and he can't understand what's made her shy away. Minor ups and downs created by predictable reasons, such as Dee's fear of commitment, push the story to its inevitable conclusion. The straightforward writing and interesting characters capture attention, but a weak attempt at conflict fails to sizzle. Readers who missed the previous installments may feel slightly adrift.

Awesome addition to the series

I am glad we finally got some of the holes filled from the previous books and were able to see Dee and Matthew’s story.  It was fun, sexy and I like that while Matthew was still a guy’s guy, he wasn’t a chauvinistic as Drew.  Matthew and Dee are perfect together.  Even though it took a long time to convince her of that.

This was a great addition to the Tangled series the only drawback was Deacon Lee isn’t my favorite narrator.  Don’t get me wrong he did ok, he just didn’t change up the voices very much.

Tangled was a better story than Tamed. This does not even compare.

I love how the story begins with dating tips. I like how Matthew has his night all planned out. A man prepared. A man who is quite familiar with how the game is played.
I love these role reversal stories where a woman learns to play like a man and accept the one nightstand for what it is. Funny when a man finally decides he likes a woman it changes the game.

I could do without the female bashing of club girl and ex-girlfriend. I believe if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. Criticizing a woman's appearance is rude. Not everyone is blessed with an amazing body or the ability to wear great clothes or be beautiful enough to go with the natural make up look.
The story is great without having to knockdown other people.

I enjoyed the humor it was witty. The movie references were alright. Some of the analogies were okay.

There relationship had no angst it was governed by sex with no further development. No developed feelings of growth. They certainly spend a lot of time going places but again it's not what I'm reaching for in reading material. I felt like their relationship was routine.
The sex scenes almost seem like they were written by a man or at the very least written based off a mans perspective. So far everything initiated by Dee are sexual fetishes and desires more relatable to men.
What I learned from this story is if a woman wants to become part of a mans world she must behave like a man. If a woman wants a man to occupy his time with her over his male friends then she must have a lascivious sexual appetite.
Dee constantly is testing Matthew to see if she can trust him. Dee's trust issues is why the relationship never grows.
I read Tangled and loved it but I did not love Tamed. This one did not even meet the mark. I'm sure people will say this review was not helpful when really they just don't agree with my review. Not liking my review does not warrant a not helpful mark.

Absolutely great!!! Matthew is awesome and so is Delores!! Hilarious & sexy!! Love her writing!!!
