The Adventures of Tintin: Tintin in the Land of the Soviets
This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.
First published in 1929, Tintin in the Land of the Soviets did not again become available to the general public until 1973. This first great Tintin adventure introduced the brave reporter and his dog, and set the stage for the rest of Hergé's career as a master comic strip author.
The colour in the new version of the story has the effect of increasing legibility, as it underscores the clarity of the drawings. The new version was created by Moulinsart with great attention to the restored original plates; the result is surprisingly modern, like a new adventure.
The official return of Tintin in the Land of the Soviets will happen the day after the reporter's 88th birthday and also during the centenary of the October Revolution.

An example of the times
It is interesting to look at this old book to see how the perception of other cultures look through the eyes of a Western European character. Very black and white. One group good and intelligent, one group bad and rather stupid. Tintin fans will love this book. Others may find it petty and constrained to its pre-selected views.
It’s a beautiful work colorizing it. But why is it not part of the tin tin collection? In iBook it shows this book as a separate collection from other tin tin books.
