Hollywood Talent, CIA Managed
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Meet Caroline Madison, a C.I.A. operative who is deep undercover running the most powerful talent agency in Hollywood, The Agency. Using her Hollywood clout, CIA training and a network of undercover CIA operatives posing as actors, paparazzi and beyond, Caroline manipulates her celebrity clients to generate entertainment scandals that distract a gossip-hungry American public from political affairs. With the public preoccupied with celebrity news, the government is free to pursue its political agenda without pushback from its unwitting constituents.
Caroline successfully navigates her dual identity until one day, her personal life is thrust into the limelight and she becomes a victim of her own design. As her two worlds collide, Caroline struggles to salvage what’s left of her splintering identity in order to beat the system that created her.
A must read for those interested in Hollywood dealmaking and the CIA.
The Agency combines my two favorite topics - the machinations of Hollywood and covert government agencies. This book takes you deep inside a talent agency with surprising accuracy and then it takes you on an adventure through the recruiting and training of a CIA clandestine operative. It really stirs the imagination because the scenarios presented are very plausible. Of course the government would use mass media to distract us. They would much rather have us worrying our little heads over the fate of some troubled starlet than international politics. I wholeheartedly recommend this book as it was a great read.
This was a great read. Perfect for the beach. The plot, the details of a Hollywood agency and the CIA kept me riveted until the end. I hope there is a new Melody Godfred book on the way.
A Great Exciting Read
I could not put this book down. I would read this book while riding the subway and the visual descriptions would literally take me into Caroline's world. It's a very smart, fun, and easy read with interesting, well-developed characters and a captivating story. As a Los Angeles Native myself, this book makes you wonder, could this really be true? Do agencies really control the media to distract us from greater world issues? Read THE AGENCY to find out. This book is a definite soon-to-be movie!
