The epic conclusion to the New York Times–bestselling Summoner trilogy, by Taran Matharu!
Fletcher and his friends fight for survival in the ether, where they pursue a mortally dangerous quest to rebuild their world and broker peace.
Even as hatred threatens to turn friend into foe in The Battlemage, Fletcher must lead a small army of soldiers into battle to protect his ancestral homeland, and face his biggest challenge yet: his nemesis, the albino orc, Khan, who seeks to destroy everything Fletcher holds dear.
These three books are among the best Fantasies I have ever read. The battle sequences are very well done, the invention of the demon society also well done although there was way too many types of demons and I found myself ignoring them after a while. I certainly did not remember them while reading. I did appreciate the definitions but looking them up became tedious after a while.
The most disappointing part of the book was the ending. The final battle scene with the albino Orc was well done but the handling of our hero’s antagonist was, it seems to me, cut off almost like it was not important and the author just wanted to finish the story as soon as possible.
These characters had done everything to our. Hero up to and including indirectly killing his parents. And yet there is just a few paragraphs on their punishment, none of which is conclusive.
To me the ending is the most important segment of a book.
I don’t know if I can recommend the series if I have to tell the person that the ending leaves a lot to be desired.
Please write more!!!
