The Beach - Wise Learn to Read

In The Beach, 14th reader, there are enough words in the child’s vocabulary to develop a simple plot.  It is time to get the child a dictionary, as he is now familiar with the hyphenation of words using the single, double, and triple consonants and using single and double vowels to make new words. Once the child can read enough words, he can read for meaning. As the dictionary is used, the child will come to recognize the purpose of it. Expect it to take weeks on your part getting the child to accept and use the dictionary properly.
