The Bitterroot Inn
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Her past. His secrets. They have more in common than she knows.
Maisy is happily content with the life she’s built for herself and her young son in small-town Prescott, Montana. Her child is thriving, her business is growing, and her family is as close as they’ve ever been. But when a handsome stranger walks into the lobby of her motel, her simple life is swept up in a wave of affection for his gentle heart. None of those feelings can be trusted, though. She made that mistake before with another man. The man she murdered.
Hunter was a different man when he first saw Maisy Holt from afar. He took one look at her and ran in the opposite direction. But years later, he’s back in Montana and unable to keep his distance. He shouldn’t have tried to find her but he never was good at rejecting temptation. The promise of the good she could bring into his life is too hard to resist. Maybe if he can disguise the lies and hide the deceit, he can keep her from learning the truth. Because his only chance at a future with her is by burying his past.
Truly amazing ending to the series!
Ah-mazing!!! The Bitterroot Inn was the perfect way to close out the Jamison Valley series. Maisy played such a huge part in the first book and every book in between that it makes perfect sense that she was the final story.
Years later and Maisy still struggles with the aftermath of being forced to kill her son’s father for survival. She gave up a great career as a nurse and immersed herself into taking over the towns motel and making it succeed all the while raising her beautiful son.
As the years go by she has watched one loved one after another find their soul mate. She longs for that same type of love but isn’t sure she can ever trust again after Everett. Until Hunter comes to town.
Holy cow! It only took two seconds into the introduction of Hunter and I was in love with him myself! Despite his air of mystery, I knew he was going to be the one Maisy has been waiting for. I don’t think I have ever wanted to skip to the end of a book so bad as I did with this one. I couldn’t figure out what Hunter was hiding and I had to keep telling myself to be patient and find out when Maisy does. It was not what I was expecting!
Not only did the author blow me away with this book, but also with the series as a whole. I’ve loved every minute of getting to know each and every character in this beautiful town of Prescott, Montana. The way Devney Perry wrapped up everyone’s story and hinted at the new generation made this sentimental fool a happy woman. The Bitterroot Inn was a bittersweet end. I’m so happy to have everyone’s story but so very sad to see that it’s over. This series is a must read!

The perfect ending to an incredible series!
What a perfect way to end an incredible series! The Bitterroot Inn had the perfect balance of sweet romance with a side of sexy and dash of mystery and suspense. Devney once again did not disappoint and by the end of the book I felt the journey for all the characters in Prescott, Montana had come full circle. The minute I finished The Coppersmith Farmhouse, the first book in the Jamison Valley series, it was Maisy’s story I was dying to read. After everything she went through I needed to see this woman get the HEA she deserved.
Determined to put the past behind her and make a better life for her and her 3 year old son Coby Maisy Holt’s days are filled with making her motel The Bitterroot Inn one of the best establishments to stay in while visiting Prescott. Her nights are filed with being the best mother to her son Coby. And although she is a single mother she has lots of help from her amazing family and her beloved friends who make it their mission to make sure Coby will grow up surrounded by lots of love. Everything seems to going good despite many failed attempts at dating thanks to her loyal girlfriends until one day in walks Hunter Faraday and Maisy’s life is forever changed. Upon meeting Hunter he is shrouded in mystery and not much of talker. The attraction is instant and the more they run into each other and spend time together the layers start to peel back and I found myself falling for him the same way Maisy seemed to be. I LOVED these two together! It was nice to see Hunter slowly break down her walls and to see Maisy genuinely happy. And when he starts to form this bond with her son that was it I was a goner completely sold. Soon enough both Hunter and Maisy’s past start to catch up to them and threaten their happiness. What happens next is one crazy ride not to be missed!
And so the end is complete. I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters I’ve grown to love but what a journey it has been! The Jamison Valley series is one of my favorites of 2017. And although The Bitterroot Inn can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend starting the series from the beginning and going from there as I have loved every book in this series. I’m looking forward to the new year and all the amazing things Devney has in store for us.
I was fortunate enough to find and read Devney Perry in 2017 when she released her first book The Coppersmith Farm House. Never has a debut author made such a lasting impression on me. Her words flow like a seasoned writer and after five books I guess she kind of is now.
She has written one of my all time favorite series. The way her words describe the small town setting in Montana made me fell like I was living in those mountains, eating in the cafe and shopping on Main Street. This series was unique in how the books just kept getting better and better with each one. A hard feat for any author to not lose that momentum.
The Bitterroot Inn focuses on Maisy and Hunter. Maisy has probably overcome the most obstacles of any character throughout the series and she did it with dignity and grace. She’s like a breath of fresh hair and warm sunshine. Hunter is new in town, a guest at the Bitterroot Inn and quickly falls for Maisy.
The have undeniable chemistry and humor between them. Devney is known for her Alpha males and Hunter is no exception. He has a heart of gold and he’s a protector. I loved their story. The epilogue was golden and while I’m sad for this series to end I’m happy that all my beloved characters got their happy ever after.
I’m looking forward to new work from this author. I’m sure she’ll continue to wow me with her words. Five stars!!
