Indigo is a boy with a dream.
He spends his mornings in a refrigerator box, his afternoons shoveling snow, and his nights in the basement of a homeless shelter. But during every free moment, he draws and dreams of becoming a famous artist.
His best friend Jade looks after him, but she is arrested for shoplifting and he's left all alone. With his box of pencils under his arm, he sets out on a quest to search for Jade and discovers a whole new world… full of the art he loves.
His journey brings him friendship, family, and the courage to hold onto his dreams.

This book is not only heart warming but it really does give you that effect of multiple emotions, especially the ending. The ending is so beautiful, this whole book is beautiful and it brings out the feeling of encouragement. It is just such an amazing book.
I would never have anticipated a book would be so perfectly suited for our family to read together! 10-year-old boy meets art and a family miracle. Yep. That’s our lives! Don’t know how Melody got a hold of our script (Hey! Is she spying on us...?!) but we’re super grateful she wrote this version of something so very close to our story!
