I feel like there should be a few more chapters. Unless there is going to be a second story. I don't feel like the story was finished. But it was a great story

the reason it ends like that is because there's a sequel coming
Enjoyed the book, right up until the last word. The book ends abruptly, (though not on a cliff hanger) leaving a lot of unanswered questions and some pretty heavy foreshadowing. Initially, I assumed this was a stand-alone story and was upset that it ended when it did. That is a tribute to the writing, since I was emotionally invested in the characters and didn't feel like they were out of the woods yet. Fortunately, another volume is on the way. Can't wait to get it!
