The Circle of Sorcerers
A Mages of Bloodmyr Novel: Book #1
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
When Laedron Telpist's sorcery training is interrupted by a knock on the door, what once seemed a proper profession must now be hidden. In a world where priests and mages vie for the limitless power of the elements and a new Grand Vicar has sworn death to all sorcerers, Laedron is tossed into a nightmare which would see his destruction at every turn.
From the home shores in western Sorbia, through the Cael'Brilland heartlands, and even across the seas to the great city of Azura, Laedron finds himself embracing old friends, consorting with unlikely allies, and confronting potent enemies. As he struggles to train himself in spellcraft, Laedron must face that he lives in a time when the utterance of a simple spell could be the signature on his death warrant.
A fairly decent story with good action and characters.
The Circle of Sorcerers: a Mages of Bloodmyr Novel: Book 1
I found the plot and story line to be in-depth and thoroughly enjoyable. It was refreshing even though it followed the traditional line of church vs magic. I look forward to continuing the series and Lae's journeys and adventures. Thank you for sharing this story free of charge. Now on to Book 2....
From neophyte to leader and Mage is very short time because of a religious war. Though this story has been repeated way too many times in Man's history, this one is pretty entertaining with its magic and immortals, plus the many diverse lands our group travels to while helping to stop a war started by those too afraid of anyone who's ideologies are not theirs, Good descriptions of the people, places, encounters throughout this part 1 of Laedron and company's journeys. I'm glad to see part 2 is available to digest!
