This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
From USA Today bestselling author Julianne MacLean comes an inspiring novel about secrets, forgiveness, and second chances. It’s the newest title in her popular Color of Heaven Series, where people are affected by real life magic and miracles that change everything they once believed about life and love.
It’s been five years since Emma Cochran endured the worst possible tragedy—the sudden, unexpected death of her four-year-old son. The emotional trauma tore her marriage apart, but now her divorce is final and she wants to begin again. She’s found happiness at last with her fiancé, Luke, who is eager to start a family with her.
On the other side of the country, single mother Bev Hutchinson watches helplessly as her five-year-old daughter Louise drowns in a high-profile boating accident. Miraculously, Louise is brought back to life, then claims she went to heaven. The news causes a media frenzy surrounding the little girl, and Bev does everything she can to shield herself and her daughter from the relentless swarming of the press.
Lives collide when Emma becomes obsessed with the story of the child, thousands of miles away, who drowned and went to heaven. She wants to connect with the mother, but Emma’s fiancé is against the idea because he wants her to let go of her grief and move on.
But sometimes, moving on isn’t the right choice when miracles are leading you back to your past—toward something, or someone, who was your destiny all along.

Pictures From Heaven
This is the thirteenth book in The Color of Heaven series. While this book is part of series, you can easily read it as a standalone. Though I highly recommend you read the series because Julianne MacLean does such a good job of creating rich characters with thought provoking storylines.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. This book is a great addition to the series. I needed tissues while reading this one.
I received a copy of this book from the author and chose to leave a review for other readers.
I love this series. I've just recently been introduced to it, but I find it very uplifting and beautifully written with much love behind it. The Color of a Silver Lining is no exception. The story of how the lives of the characters intertwine is breathtaking and little Louise is a ray of light. Do yourself a favor and read this book, you won't regret it.
Lucky number 13, Best so far!
The Color of a Silver Lining, Julianne MacLean's 13th book in The Color of Heaven series was, as expected, heavenly. Though many have heard or expressed the sentiments, "every cloud has a silver lining", and "heaven on earth", this novel gives an example how both apply to everyday lives. The characters come alive in this beautifully told story. MacLean accurately depicts parents feelings about their children, “parenthood must be a state of emotional extremes.” Bev, Clair & Louise, spend the day on a tourist sail that turned into a shipwreck. Did Louise really visit heaven? Across the country another couple, Emma and Carter are divorcing after they can not come to terms with the drowning of their son. Read to see how MacLean expertly weaves their stories together.
