The Color of Forever

Book 10, The Color of Heaven Series

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

From USA Today bestselling author Julianne MacLean comes the next instalment in her popular Color of Heaven Series, where people are affected by real life magic—and the occasional miracle that has the power to change everything they once believed about life and love.

Recently divorced television reporter Katelyn Roberts has stopped believing in relationships that last forever, until a near-death experience during a cycling accident changes everything. When she miraculously survives unscathed, a long-buried mystery leads her to the quaint, seaside town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

There, on the rugged, windswept coast of the Atlantic, she finds herself caught up in the secrets of a historic inn that somehow calls to her from the past. Is it possible that the key to her true destiny lies beneath all that she knows, as she explores the grand mansion and property? Or that the great love she’s always dreamed of is hidden in the alcoves of its past?

hought-provoking, emotionally-intense and riveting

n The Color of Forever, Julianne MacLean weaves a complex, intriguing story. It's difficult to say everything I loved about this book without giving away spoilers, because her stories are so intricately-woven and follow a fascinating route to their conclusion.

The reader "knew of" Katelyn in the previous book - The Color of Time - and I felt myself wanting to read the previous book again to remind me of how her story affected the characters in the previous book before diving into this story. But there was no need, because Katelyn's story is here - or it is. The concept of a person's ability to affect your reality in your dreams in again present in this story, with its own twist.

The Color of Forever shouldn't be started unless you plan time to read it in one sitting, because you won't want to put it down. And like Katelyn, who mourned a life she didn't know she'd missed, I mourned the loss of these characters when The Color of Forever ended. I was fully engrossed in Katelyn's, Aaron's, Jack's, Sebastian's, and Evangeline's story, puzzled along with them as they navigated choppy waters, and missed them now their story is complete.

Katelyn's story ended the way it should have, but my heart hung still in my chest until it did, and my heart broke for the one who lost, although I know he'll find his own happily-ever-after eventually.

This is a clean story with a lot of romance but no explicit details. It makes the reader think about what could have been, and loves past, and makes you wonder if you are leading the life you're meant to be leading. Thought-provoking, emotionally-intense and riveting, Ms. MacLean delivers another 5-star romance in The Color of Forever

Real Memory or a Dream?

Have you ever experienced a dream that seemed so real that months later you can still see it and feel the emotions associated with it? With this latest book in The Color of Heaven series, Julianne MacLean brings us into the world of Katelyn Roberts. Katelyn is a television reporter who recently divorced. When she has a vision during a near-death cycling accident, she is left with more questions than answers. The vision she saw, and the emotions felt seemed so real, but we're not of her own life as she had experienced up to that point. Join Katelyn and her best friend Bailey as they travel across the country to Maine in an attempt to make sense of what she saw and felt.

While this book is part of the Color of Heaven series, you can easily read it as a standalone. I highly recommend you read the series because Julianne MacLean does such a good job of creating rich characters with thought provoking storylines.

The Color of Forever

"The Color of Forever" by Julianne MacLean. Wow! Ms. MacLean sure knows how to write. While I have not read all the books in this series (The Color of Heaven Series), I have read a few and honestly, cannot say which is my favorite. I've enjoyed all of them to that degree. In "The Color of Forever", Ms. MacLean has penned a beautiful tale of the journey of love, a touch of magic and a sense of being that I don't often find in other books. In this story, we have Katelyn. She is a reporter that has a life altering event that leads her on a path of self discovery. As she travels with her best friend Bailey, she meets others that all have an impact on her life. I so enjoyed this journey - it's deep and thought provoking yet leaves the reader with a sense of wonder and awe. Ms. MacLean has proven to me yet again that she is a talented and truly gifted artist that brings her characters and story to life through words. Her descriptions are detailed yet not overdone. As the reader, I believed and could envision each and every scene. The feelings portrayed by the characters I felt in my heart. I felt as if I was a spirit myself, traveling this journey with Katelyn, overlooking her shoulder the entire time. While this is Book 10 of the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Although, if the other books in the series are as enchanting as the three I've read already, I will gladly read the remainder and recommend that as well.
