The Color of Love
Book 6, The Color of Heaven Series
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
Carla Matthews is a single mother struggling to make ends meet and give her daughter Kaleigh a decent upbringing. When Kaleigh’s absent father Seth—a famous alpine climber who never wanted to be tied down—begs for a second chance at fatherhood, Carla is hesitant because she doesn’t want to pin her hopes on a man who is always seeking another mountain to scale. A man who was never willing to stay put in one place and raise a family.
But when Seth’s plane goes missing after a crash landing in the harsh Canadian wilderness, Carla must wait for news… Is he dead or alive? Will the wreckage ever be found?
One year later, after having given up all hope, Carla receives a phone call that shocks her to her core. A man has been found, half-dead, floating on an iceberg in the North Atlantic, uttering her name. Is this Seth? And is it possible that he will come home to her and Kaleigh at last, and be the man she always dreamed he would be?

Color of Heaven Series
I LOVE her series. I started reading he first by by accident, really. One book led to the next book, criss-crossing within each other, and I was spellbound with each character and their story. These books are "feel good books" and do not leave you wondering...I like this in a story and I like that they are all interwoven with each other. Glad I found this series and this author!
Torn about the HEA (spoiler alert!)
I love a HEA...but the description of this book led me to believe that Seth would be the other half of that HEA. Imagine my surprise when I got to Seth's fall. I loved how Malcom was introduced and how that arc ended. However, Josh was another story. Poor guy! His arc and Carla's actions made her look like the adolescent (instead of Kaleigh). Seriously, entertaining thoughts/feelings about a man when you're practically engaged to another in the face of your husband's proof of death was in poor taste. I found myself cheering for Aaron but cringing that the object of his affection is Carla.
The color of destiny
A book you won't want to put down. A plot that will keep you guessing what will happen next from beginning to end - and never what you expect.
