The Count of Monte Cristo
One of the great Classics! Pain, love, suffering and revenge all intertwined make this one really hard to put down. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Must Read!
Longest book I've ever read but definitely one of the best. What made the book so long is the background of characters, for Instance Bertuccio or Haidee, wherein as you go along you'll realize that it actually makes sense to include them. When Edmond Dantes became a count it was so interesting how he studied his villains that every move ended up as checkmate. This is a story about vengeance, dirty politics, love, and forgiveness.
Some of you might think this version is too long, but just to let you know every page is worth reading, don't settle for the abridged version or you'll miss out on all the great scoop!
