The third book in the sexy Sinful Suitors Regency romance series, this heart-pounding story shows why New York Times bestselling author Sabrina Jeffries is one of the most beloved historical romance writers today.

To root out the card cheat responsible for her brother’s death, Miss Delia Trevor spends her evenings dancing her way through high society balls, and her late nights disguised as a young man gambling her way through London’s gaming hells. Then one night, handsome Warren Corry, the Marquess of Knightford, a notorious member of St. George’s Club, recognizes her. When he threatens to reveal her secret, she’s determined to keep him from ruining her plans, even if it means playing a cat-and-mouse game with the enigmatic rakehell.

Warren knows the danger of her game, and he refuses to watch her lose everything while gaining justice for her late brother. But when she starts to delve beneath his carefully crafted façade, can he keep her at arm’s length while still protecting her? The Danger of Desire

I have been reading Sabrina's books for years. So I was glad I could get to read this book. There is a lot of action in her stories and this book has a lot in this one. Delia has lost her parents and brother. Major Spoiler. Her brother lost at cards to a man with a Sun tattoo. He drowned in the river walking home. Warren is a Marquis, Lord Knightford. He plays cards in the stews and gets his back up when Jack Jones always beats him at the table. Warren blows his top when he finds out Jack is Delia to get money to keep her home. She is not a lady but swears she won't marry. Aunt Agatha has a different plan for her. Warren promises to help her find her card cheater. His best friend Clarissa pushes him to Delia. They get caught together and yep, they need a Special License. Spoiler. Warren has a secret and keeps it in the dark. I fell totally into this book. It is hard to put it down. I liked this story line. I hope you decide to check this story out. Please enjoy reading this book! I have volunteered to read and review this book.

Sassy, smart female! Loved Delia!

From the outsider looking in, Warren Corry, the Marquess of Knightford, might look like a rakehell who spends his nights gambling and whoring in London. Most people don't know about his dark secret that would explain why he does the things that he does. When Warren's cousin Clarissa is concerned that her friend Miss Delia Trevor is acting weird, she asks him to see if he find can find a reason for her actions. What Warren didn't expect was to be intrigued by this lady. Delia does not act like a typical Lady...she is way more inappropriate and he really likes it! As Warren and Delia play a cat and mouse game, Warren uncovers what Delia is really up to and has a really fun time teasing her along the way.

Delia inappropriateness is keeping Warren's attention and soon he wants to be with her all the time. After a certain incident, Warren is pushed into marrying Delia and the real fun begins! Just as things are looking up for our newlyweds, old secrets come crashing down all around them. Together they work through theirs issues and come out stronger in the end.

I just adored the character of Delia. She was a really sassy and smart lady. She knew what she wanted and she just went after it. Warren acts like a typical first born....always wanting to take care of everyone and make sure their lives are good, except he doesn't use that same philosophy on his own life....at least until Delia comes into the picture.

I loved the climax ending of the secrets....never saw that one coming! And the happy ending was just perfect! The phrase "boxing the Jesuit" was too funny! :) Overall a great story with wonderful characters. You cannot go wrong with a Sabrina Jeffries book!

Really good

In this third book in "The Sinful Suiters" series (a really good series by the way) we have two tortured souls. Lord Warren Corry, the Marquess of Knightford, suffers from debilitating nightmares caused by actions of a evil tutors punishment and Miss Delia Trevor and family being dragged across the country by her gambling father who continually broke promises of having a stable secure life. Then when with a home finally to call their own her brother gambles their security away and ends his life. Warren's cousin Clarissa asks him to check out Delia's strange behavior. Warren puts himself in Delia's way at every turn and much to her dismay he blackmails her and her groom to get her to stop nightly outings to a local Hell in search of a tattooed Lord who cheated her brother. Their romance developed slowly with a lot of sexual tension and there is are a couple of awesome twists that I did not expect.
I highly recommend this series. This one was not my favorite but was still very good and a great addition to the series and a prelude to sever new books I hope.
