Vega Jane was always told no one could leave the town of Wormwood. She was told there was nothing outside but a forest filled with danger and death. And she always believed it -- until the night she saw Quentin Herms run away.
Vega knows Quentin didn't just leave -- he was chased. And he left behind a trail of clues that point to a dark conspiracy at the heart of Wormwood. To follow the clues will attract the attention of influential people willing to kill to keep their secrets. If Vega wants to stay safe, she just needs to keep her head down and her mouth shut. There's only one problem -- Vega Jane never walks away from a fight.
Master storyteller David Baldacci introduces an unforgettable heroine who must think fast, hit hard, and defy all odds to uncover the truth.
Shades of "HungerGames". But interesting read and entertaining as well. Scenes & creatures scream for a movie!
I bought this book a week and a day agi. The first thing that grabbed me was the cover. Then I sampled it. As I was reading the sample I still was confused what the quag was. I then came back and read the description more, I was hooked after that. The Finisher brings you into a secluded town called Wormwood, A town who’s foundation is based upon a Council and skill set. Where years are sessions, and time is light or dark. Wormwood is not your normal town. People are know as Wug or Wugmorts, and some of them are gifted… This story is great for kids and Young Adults…. The Finisher Vwga Jane is the one tell the story….
Baldacci does it again. His book is mesmerizing to the reader, as one keeps reading it and when it's over, you want the sequel. This book rivals the Hunger Games, and has the potential for one or two sequels.
