The Georges Dupin Brittany novels are exquisite. From the first to this, the deepening level of characterization of Dupin is impressive. You will want to meet him at the Amiral for sole or anywhere for espresso. The plots are never simple. The focus on Breton culture adds depth and mystery. Book time with the books and you will soon want to book a trip to Brittany to walk the paths trod by Dupin. Cannot wait for the next.
