Description

Everyone wants a good dentist. Everyone wants to save their teeth. Everyone wants good health. But how do you find those? In The Good Dentist, Alireza Panahpour, DDS takes you on a life-changing journey, showing you why conventional dentistry is illness causing, and why it has left some 178 million Americans missing teeth, some 20 million in dentures, and 15 million Americans a year enduring invasive root canal treatments that correlate to higher rates of chronic degenerative diseases. What is driving all this tooth loss? The questionable practice of drilling and filling teeth with toxic mercury amalgam fillings that sit in the mouths of over 150 million Americans.

In The Good Dentist, Alireza Panahpour, DDS teams up with health writer Camilla Griggers, PhD to share his personal story from his time as a young dental student to the pioneering work he does today. Sharing case stories from two decades of practice as a systemic, mercury-free dentist, he provides educational images that let you see for yourself what is wrong with the outdated dentistry of drilling, filling and billing, and documents a new dentistry any child knows is worth smiling over, because it’s painless, safe, sustainable, and most of all, designed to optimize your health and keep your teeth in your mouth for the rest of your life.

A reliable and trustworthy source of information about biological, mercury-free, no-drilling, oral-systemic, minimally-invasive and holistic dentistry, Alireza Panahpour, DDS carries on the traditions of Dr. Weston Price’s classic book on holistic dentistry Nutrition and Physical Degeneration and Dr. Hal Huggins’ Uninformed Consent. The Good Dentist: Save Your Teeth, Save Your Life with Mercury-Free, Systemic Dentistry reviews why the old standards of dentistry have failed, and unveils for the lay public what the new standards of dental practice are, and what choosing a good dentist means today.

The Good Dentist by Alireza Panahpour, DDS is a must read for any consumer of dental services who cares about holistic health. Especially if mercury amalgam fillings or root canals are in your mouth, or you’re a parent who will be taking a child to the dentist for the first time. Once you understand how the health of your mouth is connected to the health of your whole Self, you will know which dentists in your community to look for, and how to find them.

The book is also a must read for conventionally trained dentists who are looking for better standards of practice to meet the needs of patients who are becoming more challenging because they are more challenged by poor nutrition, hypoxia, environmental toxins, chronic illnesses and stress.

Here are some highlights of the new standards of dentistry reviewed in The Good Dentist. Drilling (the fear of every child) is replaced by air abrasion and ozone therapy for treating cavities, making novocaine shots unnecessary.
— Mercury amalgam fillings are replaced by zirconia fillings that are safe, biomimetic and don’t expand and contract with heat and cold—causing recurrent decay and future fractures.
— Infection causing root canals are replaced with safer zirconia implants.
— Braces are replaced with structural dentistry.
— Infected wisdom tooth cavitations are avoided with minimally-invasive tooth extractions, plasma rich fiber made from your own blood, and IV therapy.
— Fluoride that causes dental and skeletal fluorosis (brittle teeth and bones) is replaced with good nutrition.
— Commercial toothpastes with glycerin, fluoride and antimicrobial agents are replaced with natural toothpastes that are safe.

If you care about holistic dental care, alternative medicine, integrative medicine, and systemic medicine including holistic psychiatry, read The Good Dentist. If you have a chronic disease such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, MS, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune disorders or cancer, you will want to read The Good Dentist. This book is a timely resource every family needs and deserves. Learn more about author Alireza Panahpour, DDS at www.systemicdentist.com.

An intreguing look at gentle, natural dentistry

This is a fascinating look at cutting edge dentistry that may completely eliminate the need for drilling, root canals, and other costly, dangerous, and painful procedures. The author recommends a gental and non-invasive approach that maintains the integrity of the tooth. Although I have been thankfully cavity free my entire life, I have so many friends who have had nearly all their teeth removed and suffered greatly from cracked bridges, caps that fall off, and the painful aftermath of dental surgery. The ideas in this book are worth exploring. Although it may be difficult to find dentists in every area of the country who are this progressive.
