The Hook-Up Experiment
This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.
1.Hate-screw my high school nemesis.
2.Remember to hate him.
3.Prove my brother wrong.
It should be easy.
As the owner of Pick-A-D*ck, New Orleans’ premier hook-up website, my job is simple. Connect two people for a no-strings, no-expectations hook-up. The plus for my clients is that I’m the one who gets to sift through the d*ck pics—except this time, they're required.
My problem? My brother, co-owner of Pick-A-D*ck’s sister dating site, doesn’t believe it’s possible to hook up with someone three times and not fall in love.
I disagree. I know it’s possible.
And my disagreement is exactly how I end up reconnected with my high school nemesis, Elliott Sloane. The guy who asked me to junior prom and then stood me up. Who egged my car when I rejected him, and convinced my senior homecoming date to ghost me.
It should be easy to hate-screw him. If only he was still that person, instead of a hot-as-hell single dad, working as a builder to make ends’ meet, fighting for custody of his daughter.
In true Emma form, I laughed the entire time. I love when the characters make me laugh out loud, but I love it even more watching them grow.
Peyton and Elliott are one of my new favorite Hart couples. From Peyton and her PAD website to how much she doesn’t want to like Elliott. Watching Peyton grow as an adult in the story was amazing. She learned to love and forgive, but watching her fall in love was my favorite part.
Elliott didn’t want to start dating, so when he found PAD, he was just looking for a hookup. What he wasn’t prepared to find was Peyton. I loved watching Elliott with Brioney, seeing that relationship was amazing. New found love of single dad’s right here! But watching the three of them together? I fell right in love.
I can’t wait for the next book in this duet!
It's always the kids....
Give me a sarcastic heroine and a hero willing to put up with her and you've got a recipe for a great book. Add in a child that literally breathes sunshine into the world and it's like the sherry on top. That book just went from great to freakin amazing. The Hook-Up Experiment had it all. It all started with a bet.....which we all know never leads to anything good. Especially when the bet made is with your brother and you let your supposed best friends pick out the experiment....now it's a possible recipe for disaster.
I loved every word. Every leaf that was turned over and unlocked hurt from the past and uncovered feelings that have always lingered there. Peyton and Sloane were amazing together when they let themselves be. Maybe the way things turned out was for the best all along. It did create Briony after all. The little girl who wants to know the how and why of everything. Sounds like some other kids I know. This little girl breathes sunshine into the world and makes it a brighter place.
Take the heat made between the sheets, the fire that Peyton breathes over learning some things about the past, and the sunshine Briony breathes and this world is on fire. Like all Emma Hart books for me, I couldn't put it down. She always creates a story that I have no problem getting lost in. I can envision every scene crystal clear like I'm living it for myself. Those are the ones that are the best for me.
Hilarious, hot and a little sweet!
The Hook-Up Experiment is the first book in The Experiment Duet, but if you read The Upside to Being Single, this is Peyton's story! Emma Hart is the queen of the rom-com. I read all of her books because she's hilarious and talented. I don’t know how she keeps coming up with these fantastic characters and funny as hell plots! Peyton is independent, stubborn, beautiful and holding a decade long grudge on her high school sweetheart. She needs to prove to her brother that she can sleep with a guy three times and not fall in love. She can totally do that. Until she sees the guy. Elliott Sloane. She hates him. So much. He broke her heart in high school. This is going to be a piece of cake. Until he looks at her that way. Until he finally gets to tell her the truth. Can she handle the truth? Will it change everything she thought she knew? Elliott is sweet, sexy and gives as good as he gets. He doesn't let Peyton get away with her craziness. He let her get away once and he isn't going to do that again. He has a lot going on in his life, raising his daughter on his own, but he can't say no to Peyton. Elliott and Peyton are hilarious together! Their banter is top notch and their chemistry is hot. Overall, I laughed, got hot and bothered and wanted more! I loved seeing previous characters again and I can't wait for Chloe's story!
